The NFL trade deadline has come and gone. The Jets made many moves. Two big-name receivers were sent to Jacksonville and Seattle. It honestly felt like it could have been bigger than it was, like we were waiting for a final punch to send us all off into the night with.
But instead what we had was the Jets asking the NFL if they were ready to be real competitors, and the NFL said “yes” in some cases and “no” in others. Let’s get into it.

The Arizona Cardinals are moving on.
They have decided that Jacoby Brissett will start against the Seattle Seahawks, and presumably moving forward as they look to maintain position in the NFC Playoff race.
The decision comes after Brissett and the Cardinals beat the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, in which Brissett had 261 yards passing a two touchdowns to go along with his first rushing touchdown on the season.
Brissett is 1-2 as a starter.

A former Big Ten volleyball coach received a two-year show-cause order from the NCAA for impermissible bets on professional and collegiate sports over a five-month period.
Brett Agne is a former assistant coach for Indiana’s women’s volleyball team. He was dismissed from the program in 2023 in his third season as an assistant coach and technical coordinator for the Hoosiers. He is now a coach for Indy Ignite in Major League Volleyball.

College football fans across the country, and coaches, are assuredly agreeing with Dabo Swinney after he unloaded on the state of officiating in college football. 
Finally, someone comes out and says it on a platform big enough to potentially make a difference in the long run. 
On Tuesday, the Clemson head coach was not worried about potential fines or blowback from the ACC, or the NCAA for that matter. When he was asked about the current state of officiating, Swinney said it was a system that needed changing.
