MANHATTAN — Kansas State football coach Chris Klieman said he hopes to have running back Dylan Edwards back at “full speed” for the team’s Sept. 27 game against UCF.
Edwards exited the Wildcats’ loss to Arizona on Sept. 12 after four first-quarter carries. He had missed the previous two games with a left ankle injury after suffering it on his first touch of the season during the Wildcats’ Week 0 loss to Iowa State.
Edwards was considered “50-50” ahead of Kansas State‘s game at Arizona before playing in the first quarter.

WFAA Dallas Cowboys insider Ed Werder reported on Monday that Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a high ankle sprain. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport later reported that the All-Pro wideout will not be placed on injured reserve and will sit out for at least the next two games before being considered as week-to-week by the team.
Lamb sustained the injury during opening drive of Dallas’ eventual 31-14 blowout loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

UFC featherweight Diego Lopes won’t pass on an offer to headline UFC Rio against Charles Oliveira.
The promotion is yet to announce a replacement for the injured Rafael Fiziev on the Oct. 11 show in Rio de Janeiro and the top-ranked featherweight said he’s willing to move up to lightweight to face the former UFC champion.
“Sure. Why not?” Lopes told Laerte Viana. “Of course, I’d do it, especially because Charles is a legend of the sport in Brazil. I’ll never turn down any fight. If the UFC thinks I’m the guy to fight him and calls me, definitely [yes].
It’s a rarity through this point in the season: the Syracuse Orange will have a game that will *not be a nooner.
The ACC announced the game times for Week 6 of the schedule, and Syracuse’s matchup versus SMU on Saturday, October 4 will kick off at 3:30 pm EST. This will be the Orange’s second game of the year where it will kick off at a non-noon time (the other being Colgate).
The ’Cuse-SMU will air on either ESPN2 or the ACC Network. The final decision for what channel the game will be on will be made after this weekend’s games.
