One of the top running back prospects for the 2027 recruiting class has narrowed one of his choices down to Auburn. 2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges has narrowed down his list to eight schools that features the Tigers per Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.
The list of schools for Georges is a collection of some of the biggest names in college football. The other seven he is deciding from is Alabama, Georgia, Miami (FL), Ohio State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas. According to Rivals, he is rated as the No. 2 running back in the country and No. 1 overall player in Tennessee.
Yet another week of NFL action has passed, and once again, it was a huge slate for Alabama Crimson Tide football.
A slate of games in which multiple teams clinched playoff berths, former Alabama players were back in action this past weekend at the professional level, with many going on to make significant impacts in their respective games. Some of those same names were also recently named to the 2026 Pro Bowl, only adding to what has been a solid overall season for the Crimson Tide in the NFL.

Ty Simpson is a unique quarterback in today’s college football landscape, given his decision to stay in Tuscaloosa for three full seasons before finally earning the starting role at Alabama. Opting not to jump into the transfer portal has paid off this season, as he has led the Crimson Tide to the second round of the College Football Playoff. However, that doesn’t mean he didn’t contemplate leaving earlier in his career.
Nick Saban played a role in convincing him to stay at Alabama. The then-head-coach may have lied to the young quarterback to do so, but hey, it worked.
