Testing confirmed a concussion for Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love, who has been ruled out for the rest of Saturday’s showdown with the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
Love suffered the head injury on a helmet-to-helmet hit from Austin Booker in the second quarter. He was evaluated in the blue medical tent and later walked back to the locker room without a helmet.
Backup Malik Willis took over for Love and led the Packers on a drive ending in a field goal. Green Bay leads at the half, 6-0.
Love completed 8 of 13 passes for 77 yards before the injury.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected with 10:39 left in the first half of Saturday night’s game against Phoenix following consecutive technical fouls.
Green, who has a history of volatile behavior, received his first technical for shoving Collin Gillespie from behind moments after blocking his drive on the other end that started the heated back-and-forth. Green’s second technical came after continued arguing, as he carried on despite efforts by teammates, Warriors officials and security to push him away.
After the 2024-2025 edition of the College Football Playoff, there were major adjustments made to the selection criteria. Strength of schedule was given more importance, benefiting deeper conferences like the SEC, and ostensibly, the Big Ten too. The top four teams in the rankings received byes into the quarterfinals, as opposed to simply giving conference champions the first round off.
Those changes came as a result of teams like Boise State and Arizona State getting a bye, despite not having the resume or ranking of those forced to play a first round game, like the Texas Longhorns.

The Philadelphia Eagles were fighting again on Saturday.
The Broad Street Birds got into it with the Washington Commanders late in a game they fought hard (pardon the pun) to control early but then dominated late.
The brawl, which broke out when the Eagles elected to go for a two-point conversion to extend their lead to 29-0, began after running back Saqaon Barkley scored.
And soon wide receiver Darius Cooper and Commanders safety Will Harris were pushing each other around.

After a slow start to the season, Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland has earned himself a key role in the team’s offense.
Loveland had his breakout game in Week 9, and while he hasn’t matched it since, the rookie has remained a reliable pass-catcher for quarterback Caleb Williams.
