Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and defensive end Shaq Lawson took to Instagram Monday to explain a viral video circulating that showed them and linebacker Greg Rousseau confronting an Eagles fan in the middle of their game in Philadelphia on Sunday. Lawson shoved the man who was in the stands before returning to the sidelines during the confrontation.
“I love the crowd I love rowdy fans it makes the game fun,” Phillips wrote on Instagram. “But one thing I’m not going to tolerate is someone threatening me or my family. This is a line that shouldn’t be crossed.

The Knicks have positioned themselves well to potentially advance from Group B of the East bracket during the NBA in-season tournament. They’ve posted a 2–1 record thus far, and face the Hornets on Tuesday night.
While there are a few scenarios in which they can advance either as the winner of Group B or secure a wild card spot, a few players were asked about their feelings on the tournament. Although some haven’t been as open or candid about the topic of the new in-season tournament, guard RJ Barrett may have responded best to whether players really want to take part.
Fresh off Thanksgiving and entering the holiday season, Zay Flowers acted out a pair of humorous celebrations during his two-touchdown performance in the Ravens’ 20–10 victory against the Chargers on Sunday night.
Although quarterback Lamar Jackson wasn’t a fan of Jones’s first touchdown celebration, when he mimicked the wedding tradition of tossing a bouquet of flowers over his head, his second celebration inspired excitement from NBC announcer Mike Tirico.
Frank Reich was fired by Panthers owner David Tepper on Monday after the team went 1–10 to start the season.
This was the second consecutive season during which Reich has been fired as the head coach of an NFL team. Last season, he was dismissed from the Colts after a 3–5–1 start.
These almost two seasons were his only stints as a head coach in Reich’s career. He turns 62 next week and admitted after Monday’s firing that “this is probably the final chapter of my NFL journey,” via his interview with The Charlotte Observer’s Scott Fowler.
The Eagles and the 49ers face each other in a highly anticipated rematch of last season’s NFC championship game this Sunday.
Back in January, Philadelphia beat San Francisco 31–7 to advance to Super Bowl LVII. Many 49ers players, including receiver Deebo Samuel, argued the loss was due in part to many players being injured, including quarterback Brock Purdy.
Eagles linebacker Haason Reddick apparently thinks this argument from Samuel and others is just an excuse for the 49ers’ performance.

The New England Patriots’ offense has been many things this year. Anemic. Disjointed. Unwatchable. But this one statistic truly puts into perspective how terrible this unit is.
Led by the uninspiring Mac Jones, the Patriots have scored an eye-popping total of 13 points over the last two weeks. New England lost to the Indianapolis Colts, 10-6, and the Tommy Devito-led New York Giants, 10-7. During the Colts loss, they became the first team in 226 consecutive games to rush for more than 150 yards, only give up 10 points, and still manage to lose.
Forty names, games, teams and minutiae making news in college football (bad-weather cleats sold separately in Manhattan—the Little Apple—where Kansas State gave up touchdowns of 71, 77, 79, 60, 33 and 82 yards to Iowa State, somehow losing despite running 67 more plays than the Cyclones):
First Quarter: CFP Committee Stress Test
Second Quarter: Texas A&M’s Stoops Veto
For much of the day Saturday, Texas A&M (11) appeared to be on a collision course with hiring Mark Stoops (12) of Kentucky as its next coach.
New Orleans Saints backup quarterback Jameis Winston is one of the most interesting characters in the NFL. A video surfaced of Winston rapping and dancing along to a song played live in-stadium right in front of starter Derek Carr during the team’s loss Sunday to the Atlanta Falcons.
In the video, Winston can be seen and heard singing/rapping along to the song “Move Bitch” by Ludacris. The rapper dropped into Mercedes-Benz Stadium (literally) in between the third and fourth quarters of the Falcons’ victory. He performed the song and Winston apparently loved every second of it.
That’s it, this year’s contest is over, the best football play of 2023 took place over the weekend and it didn’t happen in an NFL or college game, but instead the Division 1 high school state championship in Michigan with a player pulling off a behind-the-back interception.
The state title game between Belleville High School and Southfield A&T had all sorts of hype heading into the contest, and it certainly lived up to it thanks to the insane play by Belleville’s Adrian Walker Jr. and an upset nobody could’ve predicted.
