Iowa offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz has become something of an object of fascination for college football fans across the country this year.
Before the season, the Hawkeyes added a clause to Ferentz’s contract requiring IOwa to average at least 25 points per game in 2023. The Hawkeyes fell well short of that mark, averaging 18 points per game, ranking 124th out of 130 FBS teams. As a result, Ferentz—son of head coach Kirk Ferentz—was dismissed effective at the end of the season.

Alabama handed the Georgia Bulldogs their first loss in years on Saturday in the SEC Championship Game. That’s certainly a tough pill to swallow for the reigning back-to-back National Champs. Alabama WR — and former Bulldog — Jermaine Burton made it his mission to not make it any easier for them.

After all, the redshirt freshman from Ypsilanti, Mich.’s play had gotten off to an inauspicious start. As the Hawkeyes punted to Michigan on fourth-and-7 with 1:46 left in the first quarter of the Big Ten championship, Entringer went to tackle Wolverines wide receiver Semaj Morgan and wiped out.
Collecting himself at the four-yard line, however, he gave intense chase to Morgan as the return man streaked across the open field.
