The Dodgers signed Shohei Ohtani to a 10-year, $70 million contract earlier this week, and the team officially introduced their newest superstar Thursday. At a press conference held at Dodger Stadium, Ohtani put on a Dodgers uniform and hat for the very first time.
The two-way superstar spent the past six years with the crosstown rival Angels, wearing a uniform with red as the primary color. Now he moves to the Dodgers organization and its iconic Dodger blue uniforms.

Angel Cabrera, a two-time major champion, is back on the course and playing well after serving time in jail.
After finishing a 30-month prison sentence for concurrent domestic violence charges, Ángel Cabrera is back on the course.
And playing great, no less.
Cabrera, who won the 2007 U.S. Open over Tiger Woods and the 2009 Masters in a playoff, carded a 5-under 66 on Thursday.

Once regulation ended, one Pacers assistant ran off with the game ball, prompting The Greek Freak to go berserk and charge at the man to retrieve the ball as a souvenir.

The Seattle Seahawks posted a video on X on Thursday promoting their work within the community. Some of the endeavors are quite admirable, helping young citizens within the city. However, they chose to lead with, what else, Black Lives Matter and “racial justice” messaging.
In a video that also shows Seahawks players and coaches interacting with young children, the team decided to start with some interesting choices under the caption, “This is how we inspire change.”
There are quick shots of Seahawks players wearing stickers on their helmets.

A report came out earlier this week regarding Patriots coach Bill Belichick’s future with the franchise.
NBC Sports Boston insider Tom Curran said the team has already made a “decision” on Belichick’s future following the 2023 season. Belichick didn’t answer questions about the report directly when speaking to media this week either. So, there’s a lot of gray area within the situation.
However, former Patriots players Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski, who know Belichick pretty well, can’t see the coach being done with the team quite yet.

A trans athlete has, predictably, won yet another women’s sports competition.
Jamie Gumbrell, a 23-year-old from Australia, identified as a man up until just a few years ago, before entering the Women’s Golf Croquet Championship as a trans competitor. And according to The Telegraph, female competitors had no idea they’d be competing against a male athlete until they arrived for the tournament in England in August 2023.
Sure enough, Gumbrell won the world championship in women’s croquet in dominant fashion.

The NBA suspended Warriors forward Draymond Green indefinitely on Wednesday after he threw a punch at Suns center Jusuf Nurkić. The incident took place early in the third quarter of Tuesday night’s game in Phoenix, with Green earning a Flagrant 2 and an immediate ejection.
While the indefinite suspension might seem like a harsh punishment, it’s one that Green has apparently fully accepted and agreed with.
