NFL Network analyst David Carr was absolutely roasted for suggesting that the Eagles should consider benching Jalen Hurts in favor of backup Marcus Mariota.
Despite owning the NFL’s best record (10-2), Carr argued that Philadelphia should replace their franchise signal-caller.
“You have to have a serious conversation if you are Philly, and you have to really say is it better for us to play Marcus Mariota right now and let Jalen get fully healthy,” said Carr.

The Yankees have a new outfielder, but not THAT new outfielder.
The Yankees and Red Sox agreed to a trade during the winter meetings on Tuesday, coming to terms on a deal that will send outfielder Alex Verdugo to the Bronx, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports.
In exchange, Boston will acquire a trio of right-handed pitching prospects, including Greg Weissert, Richard Fitts, and Nicholas Judice.
It’s rare to see New York doing business with its arch rivals. The last time the Yankees and Red Sox made a trade was back in 2021, when Boston acquired Adam Ottavino. Prior to that, the teams had not conducted a trade since 2014.
The Yankees acquired outfielder Alex Verdugo from the Red Sox in exchange for Richard Fitts, Greg Weissert and Nicholas Judice. It’s only the seventh trade between the rivals in the last half-century.
