The Sunday Night Football broadcast gave us an inside look at the NFL’s officiating command center, and fans were underwhelmed.
The NBC cameras showed off the league’s centralized officiating headquarters in New York, the location where all replay reviews are processed, during the Giants–Bills showdown Sunday night. 
The broadcast showed a room loaded with TVs with desk chairs scattered everywhere and employees in casual clothing.

LeBron James is just like any other dad.
The Lakers superstar regularly supports his three kids at sporting events, with the most recent example being his attending daughter Zhuri’s volleyball game over the weekend.
James posted three videos of his daughter playing volleyball, two of which showcased her excellent serving skills. He shouted, “Do your thing, Munchkin; do your thing,” revealing his nickname for his 8-year-old daughter.

Kim Ng will not return to the Marlins as general manager in 2024, the club announced Monday morning.
Ng and the Marlins each had a contract option for next season. She declined the option, choosing instead to leave the club after two seasons. Ng is the first woman in history to serve as GM of a North American professional men’s team.
“We thank Kim for her contributions during her time with out organization and wish her and her family well,” Marlins owner Bruce Sherman said in a press release.

Wisconsin quarterback Tanner Mordecai is going to miss some time after suffering a hand injury against Iowa.
Mordecai slammed his hand on the helmet of an Iowa player, and fans immediately assumed the worst:
He broke his hand.

The Buffalo Bills held on to beat the New York Giants on Sunday night by a score of 14-9, and the word ‘held’ carries quite a bit of weight given how things finished in Buffalo.
After drawing a pass interference flag in the endzone as time expired in the fourth quarter, the Giants were handed a free play from the Buffalo one-yard line to win the game. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor flew a floating ball in the direction of tight end Darren Waller at the back of the end zone.

Flag football, cricket, baseball-softball, lacrosse and squash were approved for inclusion at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles on Monday. It’s the first time flag football will be contested as an Olympic sport and the first time cricket returns to the Games since 1900. 
The slew of sports were added by the International Olympic Committee during a meeting in Mumbai. All five sports were voted in as a single package with just two dissenting votes from about 90 IOC members in the room, according to the Associated Press.
