The famously raucous Hong Kong Sevens take place from Friday in a big test for the shiny new stadium at the heart of a major $3.85 billion sports park in the southern Chinese city.

A thrilling duel in Indianapolis saw the Pacers climb out of a 13-point fourth-quarter hole to snatch a 119-118 lead with 42 seconds remaining and leave the Lakers staring down the barrel of a fourth straight defeat.

Loyola received a bonus home game this season on Wednesday, courtesy of their run through the National Invitation Tournament, and the Ramblers once again didn’t disappoint at Gentile Arena in front of a crowd of 3,554.
The Ramblers led Kent State by as many as 19 points in the second half of an NIT quarterfinal en route to a 72-62 victory.
The Ramblers (25-11) advance to play Chattanooga in the NIT semifinal on Tuesday at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Chattanooga beat Bradley 67-65 on Tuesday. The NIT championship is set for April 3, also at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Raducanu nets a backhand to start as Pegula goes 0-15. A lovely backhand slice drop shot then gets the American to 0-30. Pegula follows that up with a forehand winner cross on the run.
Three match points for the American and she takes it at the first time of asking. Superb display from the American in what was a high quality contest.

The league made a rule change this week directly targeting the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver and his signature nose wipe celebration. Making the gesture will now result in a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty as a “violent gesture.
Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy recently said the team hasn’t told him he’s the starting quarterback. The team is nevertheless hoping that’s what he’ll be.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, G.M. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah said that McCarthy as the starter is “the outcome we want” and “the outcome we’re headed towards,”
“At every checkpoint, whether it’s been the draft process or practice until the injury and really the offseason now, he’s met the bar,” Adofo-Mensah said, via Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com.
