Chiefs coach Andy Reid hasn’t addressed retirement rumors much in recent years, and apparently it’s because that option isn’t on his radar any time soon.
The 65-year-old coach led the Chiefs to their second Super Bowl title in three seasons back in February, and even after the game he subtly told media that he wasn’t ready to retire.
Chiefs owner Clark Hunt was asked by Pro Football Talk if he feels like Reid could retire soon.
“I really don’t,” Hunt said. “And I hope I don’t for a long time.

Austin Dillon chucked his helmet at a former teammate and vowed revenge, and that’s like the fourth-biggest storyline to come out of Sunday’s NASCAR race at Pocono.
So, yes — I’d say this one gets a thumbs up. Denny Hamlin may have given us all the finger — especially the boo-birds in attendance — but I give Denny and Company two thumbs up.
Thank you, Denny. Thank you, Austin, Kyle Larson, Ryan Preece and Corey LaJoie. We needed a shot in the arm — not the Fauci kind! — and we got one in the NASCAR world yesterday.
Jets fans woke up Monday morning very happy after the team debuted photos of their new “Legacy White” uniforms to be worn twice during the 2023 season.
The throwback uniforms pay homage to the 1979–89 teams that wore white jerseys with two stripes, white pants with one stripe and the iconic green Jets helmets. This era was known as the “Sack Exchange” in the team’s history.
Fans will first see the throwback uniforms in Week 1 against the Bills, then again when the Jets face the Chiefs in Week 4. Both home games will include other legacy details, including themed end zones.

Hide your trophies around Lando Norris
Lando Norris is becoming a menace on the track.
And on the podium as well.
Thanks to recent upgrades to the MCL60, McLaren is enjoying a strong run in the past few weeks. Rookie Oscar Piastri finished fourth in the British Grand Prix after qualifying third, and followed that with a fifth-place finish in the Hungarian Grand Prix. Norris has notched back-to-back podiums in those two races, with a pair of second-place finishes.
However, those have come at a cost.
For some valuable hardware.

Another blunder-filled weekend for Ferrari
The 2023 Formula 1 season has developed a certain cadence to each race week.
A handful of teams will shine during practice, leading to hopes that someone will finally challenge Max Verstappen and Red Bull at the front. A surprise or two during qualifying bolsters that hope, but then Verstappen drives away from the field yet again during the grand prix itself to yet another win.
And along the way, there is a mistake or two from Ferrari.
With NFL training camps just getting underway, the Bills were reportedly dealt an early blow. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, running back Nyheim Hines is expected the miss the 2023 NFL season due to injury.
The report states that Hines, who was acquired by Buffalo from the Colts during the 2022 NFL season, suffered a “significant knee injury off-site.” There have been no further details about how the injury occurred to this point.

Top Sleeper: Christian Watson, WR, Packers
Many are overlooking the Packers because Aaron Rodgers is gone and Jordan Love is the new inexperienced starting quarterback. But that shouldn’t affect Watson, who already displayed chemistry with Love after the two connected for a 63-yard catch-and-run touchdown last season versus the Eagles. The 6’5″, 208-pound Watson is poised for a breakout second season after producing 523 yards and seven touchdowns in the final eight games of 2022.
Alabama football coach Nick Saban’s summer of love continued at the SEC Media Days in Nashville last week, sort of.
First, a rare and wonderful vacation for him and his wife Terry in Italy where he let his hair (pieces) down (just kidding) last month. Then a week of stories and columns in Nashville about how his Alabama dynasty is done or nearing the end.
It can’t get any better for the negatively motivated mastermind of college football, like no other.
The Jets needed to make a big move at QB.
Alex Rodriguez is one of the more unlikable faces in sports television, but for some reason, executives at both Fox Sports and ESPN keep thinking fans want to hear more from the former infielder.
He has a show during some of ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball broadcasts called KayRod Cast, where he and Yankees announcer, Michael Kay, offer a different look at the game being aired.
During Sunday night’s Mets–Red Sox game, Rodriguez was giving a hitting tip on ESPN2 when he came up with a very odd line about “punching a little person” to help him get his point across.
