Four-star linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Sunday. However, the California-native may not have had the Irish atop his list of suitors. He pulled a Manti Te’o.
Viliamu-Asa, a Class of 2024 recruit, stands 6-foot-4, 235 pounds and plays for St. John Bosco. His presence on the second level played a huge role in the West Coast powerhouse program’s state championship last year and he is considered one of the top-15 players at his position.

Viliamu-Asa has 23 offers from many of the top college football programs in the country.

With 40 days until the start of the 2023 college football season, ESPN’s College GameDay announced where the show will kick off the season.
The popular ESPN pregame show will head to Charlotte, N.C., for the Battle of the Carolinas on Saturday, Sept. 2. The rivalry game between UNC and South Carolina has been played since 2015. The last time the two teams faced each other was in ’21 when the Gamecocks beat the Tar Heels 38–21.

The Colts and first-round pick Anthony Richardson have reportedly agreed to terms on the quarterback’s rookie contract.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Richardson’s rookie deal will be a fully-guaranteed four-year, $33.99 million deal. As an upfront signing bonus, Richardson will receive $21.72 million.
Richardson’s agent Deiric Jackson of Legacy Sports Advisors is said to have negotiated the deal.
Indianapolis selected Richardson with the No. 4 pick in the 2023 NFL draft out of the University of Florida.

The Texans and No. 2 pick C.J. Stroud have agreed to terms on a four-year rookie contract worth $36.3 million in total, per multiple reports. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Stroud is getting his entire $23.83 million signing bonus guaranteed and upfront, something that Houston hasn’t done in the past.
Stroud was a two-year starter at Ohio State, playing in 25 games since 2021 and totaling over 8,000 yards passing with 85 passing touchdowns and just 12 interceptions. He was a Heisman finalist in each of the last two seasons, the only eligible player to do so.

Cam Newton last took an NFL snap in 2021 for the Carolina Panthers. He’s expressed a desire to continue playing, but there doesn’t seem to be much appetite around the league for the 34-year-old former MVP quarterback.
He made a lot of money playing football and he’s not afraid to let people know. At a recent event, a spectator decided to troll Newton.
