Congrats for those who cashed our underdog moneyline pick on the Astros Monday night!
Today, let’s look at a couple of pitcher props from the same game. I like a parlay to turn these odds into a plus-money payout, but you can also play them both individually or consider parlaying them with your favorite ML team.
Griffin Canning over 6.5 K (-110)
Canning may not have the most impressive ERA, but he does have high strikeout potential. The young righty struck out 12 Yankees in his last appearance, and today’s matchup with the Tigers is a favorable one, as Detroit has a 23.

As tweets go, they were … interesting.
On Monday night, after news of Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal offering French soccer star Kylian Mbappé an astonishing $776 million to play in the Kingdom next season, LeBron James took to Twitter with a message for his 52.6 million followers.
“Me headed to Saudi when they call @RichPaul4 & @mavcarter for that 1 year deal!” James tweeted, with a GIF of Forrest Gump sprinting down a street underneath it.
Some 30 minutes later, Draymond Green fired off a message of his own.
Let’s give out offseason grades for every team in the NBA.
The biggest fireworks of the NBA offseason are still to come. Damian Lillard requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers only 24 hours into free agency, but there has been no real momentum on his desired deal to the Miami Heat. James Harden has also asked out from the Philadelphia 76ers, but the team is resolved to keep him unless they can land a big haul in return.
Just about everything else in this offseason appears to be settled for now.
Draymond Green would like to redo his contract, too.
Being an umpire in Major League Baseball is far from an easy job but it seems like we’re seeing more and more very bad mistakes being made by the men in blue lately.
That happened again Monday night in Houston when home plate umpire Dan Bellino called quite possibly the worst called strike of the season.
Astros first baseman, José Abreu, took what looked to be ball four and was ready to make his way to first in a tie game in the ninth inning when Bellino yelled out that it was a strike. Abreu would go on to strike out swinging a few pitches later.
Kelly Stafford, wife of Rams QB Matthew Stafford, blew up on the media for taking off with a cancer story after she recently made comments on her health.
The 34-year-old shared on her podcast, “The Morning After with Kelly Stafford,” that she was experiencing stomach issues and that ‘naturally,’ she assumed it was cancer.
Kelly Stafford Claps Back At Media
“I feel like my stomach’s not great. In the back of my mind, I’m thinking I have cancer,” Kelly said.
Solely based on her use of the C-word, media outlets reported that Kelly Stafford was diagnosed with cancer.
ESPN soccer analyst and longtime player Shaka Hislop had a scary scene, live on television, when he suddenly collapsed before his broadcast partner, Dan Thomas.
Speaking from the Rose Bowl on Sunday, Hislop suddenly passed out and fell to his face while previewing a friendly match between AC Milan and Real Madrid.

We’ve seen some very questionable ejections happen Major League Baseball games in recent weeks and now have yet another one to add to that list.
In case you missed it, Phillies shortstop Trea Turner was tossed Monday night after striking out looking to end the bottom of the fifth inning. Turner was upset about the called strike, which did seem to catch a piece of the zone, and had some words with home plate umpire, Will Little.
Near the end of the conversation Turner was seen throwing his gear toward the bat boy and right after he did that, Little threw him out of the game.

Barkley will now report to training camp with the New York Giants
On the verge of training camp, the New York Giants and their fans got some good news.
Saquon Barkley is coming to camp, with a new one-year deal in hand.
The team and the running back failed to come to terms on a long-term extension by the NFL’s July 17 deadline for players facing the franchise tag to negotiate a long-term contract. However, the two sides have agreed on a short-term deal for the 2023 season, which gives Barkley a chance.
If there were any doubts about how serious Denzel Mims was when he requested a trade from the Jets in August of last year, this should put them to rest. Mims, who was traded to the Lions in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round draft pick, was an open book after practicing with his new team on Monday.
Needless to say, the former second-round pick out of Baylor came ready with plenty to say while praising his new team and very obviously pointing shade back in the direction of New York.
