The news that Bronny James, incoming USC basketball player and son of LeBron James, suffered cardiac arrest at practice Monday, left the entire sports world stunned and saddened. The Athletic’s Shams Charania first reported the news by releasing a statement from a James family spokesperson on the situation.
Fortunately, Bronny is now in stable condition and no longer in the ICU after being treated by the USC medical staff and taken to the hospital.

Jaylen Brown now has the biggest contract in NBA history.
Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics have agreed to a five-year, $304 million contract extension, according to multiple reports. The deal is fully guaranteed and includes a trade kicker. It’s the biggest contract signed in NBA history, surpassing Nikola Jokic’s $270 million deal with the Denver Nuggets.
Brown has one-year, $30.7 million remaining on his current contract, with the new deal set to kick in during the 2024-2025 season. Brown will turn 27 years old in Oct.

Justin Doeden, a professional golfer on the Canadian Tour, admitted to cheating on Monday following the conclusion of this weekend’s Ottawa Open.
An issue with Doeden’s scorecard was initially noticed by Monday Q Info, a popular Twitter account that keeps up with a number of different developmental tours. Doeden withdrew from the tournament in Ottawa after tournament officials had already launched an investigation into his score.
He took to Twitter on Monday to confess his cheating during the tournament asking for forgiveness.

Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron — inarguably one of, if not the best two-way players in NHL history — has announced that he is calling it a career.
Bergeron spent 19 seasons with the Bruins, and on Tuesday he announced his retirement in a statement on the team’s website.
