Kansas City beat Philadelphia in last year’s Super Bowl and probably should have done it again, but huge drops on the final drive helped Jalen Hurts and the Eagles prevail this time.

For the first time in quite a while, UConn coach Dan Hurley didn’t get the chance to empty his bench at the end of a win.
The Huskies did it in all six games of their NCAA tournament title run last March. Hurley’s son, Andrew, even got to dribble out the final seconds of the championship game, alongside other little-used Huskies. It had become something of a tradition in games outside of Big East play: coming into Monday’s Legends Classic title game against Texas, UConn had won 21 straight non-league games by 10 or more points.
Angel Reese was not with No. 7 LSU for Monday night’s 106–47 win over Texas Southern. It was the second consecutive game the star forward has missed. Tigers head coach Kim Mulkey has declined to offer details about the situation.
Reese was named Most Outstanding Player of the 2023 NCAA tournament after putting up a double-double in LSU’s championship victory over Iowa. She entered this year as an AP preseason All-American. But her playing time has been limited over the last week.
Reese’s senior season has gotten off to a bit of a rocky start.
Staley was a breath of fresh air in his early days as Chargers coach, but he’s revealed an uglier side with his job security in serious doubt. Grace under pressure is part of the job.
Eagles rookie Jalen Carter nearly pulled off a jaw-dropping play just before halftime of Week 11’s Monday night game against the Chiefs, as he cleverly hit the deck and extended his arms in an effort to intercept the spike from Patrick Mahomes.
With Kansas City holding a 14–7 lead, a four-yard pass from Mahomes to Jerick McKinnon put the Chiefs in field goal range. As they rushed up to spike the ball and stall the clock, Carter attempted to catch them off guard by sprawling out to try and pick off the spike.
Actor Mark Wahlberg was the first guest on Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli, better known as the “ManningCast,” for Week 11. The Super Bowl LVII rematch between the Eagles and Chiefs promised to be one of the best games of the season.
However, Wahlberg didn’t seem too enthused about two of the top teams in the NFL matching up on the field. Putting it more strongly, he seemed bored watching the game with Peyton and Eli.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 42 points on 20-of-23 shooting, and the Milwaukee Bucks won their fifth consecutive game, 142-129 over the Washington Wizards on Monday night. Washington dropped its sixth straight, but not without putting up a decent fight against the star-studded Bucks. Antetokounmpo shot 87.0% from the field, the highest mark in a game by a player with at least 20 attempts since Mike Woodson of the Kansas City Kings went 22 of 24 (91.

Asian shares climbed to fresh two-month highs on Tuesday, boosted by a rally on Wall Street while the dollar languished near its lowest in two-and-a-half months on expectations the U.S. Federal Reserve is likely done with interest rate hikes. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was 0.91% higher at 509.82 having touched 510.42, the highest since Sept. 18. Japan’s Nikkei eased 0.15% after hitting highs not seen since 1990 on Monday.
