Prized rookies Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama battled for the first time during the regular season on Tuesday night, as the Thunder and Spurs faced off in the NBA’s In-Season Tournament.
The height battle featuring the 7’1” Holmgren and the 7’4” Wembanyama had fans intrigued from the opening tip. Quite literally so, as when the two rookie centers stepped to center court for the game-opening jump ball, the result was rather astounding.

Prior to Tuesday night’s Lakers–Grizzlies showdown in the NBA’s In-Season Tournament, the Lakers’ social media team shared a video of star LeBron James testing the new home court at Crypto.com Arena.
James is seen in the clip testing the new floor by squeaking his sneakers on the hardcourt for 56 seconds. 
The court features a vibrant purple stripe highlighting the middle of the court while the remainder of the hardwood floor colored in yellow.

Netflix has dipped its toes in the water over the years when it comes to sports television, serving up memorable documentary series about Formula One, golf, tennis, and several star athletes and big moments in the history of sport.
On Tuesday, the streaming network took things a step further with the first ever “Netflix Cup,” which paired professional golfers with Formula One drivers in a chaotic group golf match which was broadcast live.

The Nuggets are off to a strong start to the new season as they look to defend their title after winning their first championship in franchise history. 
Ahead of their In-Season Tournament matchup against the Clippers, Shaquille O’Neal and the rest of the TNT booth was discussing the play of reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic. 
O’Neal had some major praise for Jokic, boldly declaring him the best big man in the NBA.
“If you don’t double this dude, that’s Slovakian coleslaw, all day,” O’Neal said, while accidentally mistaking Jokic’s native Serbia for Slovakia.

Nine games into his NFL career, things haven’t gone so well for rookie quarterback Bryce Young.
The No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft has led the Carolina Panthers to a 1-8 record — with the most recent loss coming to the Chicago Bears on Thursday night at Soldier Field.
Young struggled in the game, going 21 of 38 for 185 yards and no touchdowns. In fact, the only touchdown Carolina managed to score was on a punt return in the first quarter. But the offense couldn’t get anything going.

The Arizona Wildcats athletic department is in serious financial trouble. And it’s all thanks to some unbelievably incompetent financial modeling.
University of Arizona President Robert Robbins and senior vice president and chief financial officer Lisa Rulney recently explained to the Arizona Board of Regents that the university is in “financial crisis.”
How did this happen?
Because of significant miscalculations in the university’s financial modeling. Essentially, Arizona’s modeling of their revenue and expenses was off. By $240 million. That’s not a misprint. $240 million.

Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf seems like a nice guy. The former Ole Miss wideout played his tail off against the Washington Commanders in Week 10, leading the team with 98 yards receiving on seven catches.
Congratulating Metcalf on his performance after the Seahawks’ 29-26 win over Washington, Commanders tight end Logan Thomas approached DK and shared that his son is a big fan.
“Hey, I know it might not mean nothing but my son … big fan. He’s 15. Built just like you, bro. Keep doing your thing bro,” Thomas said to Metcalf after the game.
