Former Twins pitcher Sonny Gray agreed to a deal to join the Cardinals on Monday, according to multiple reports.
The deal is reportedly worth $75 million over three years, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The expected deal first was reported by Jon Heyman of the New York Post.
The right-handed starter joins the Cardinals’ recent pitching additions, Lance Lynn and Kyle Gibson, who were acquired last week. The Cardinals are attempting to bounce back from a 71–91 season, which was the team’s worst record in a full 162-game season since 1990.

A high school football player in Michigan made one of the best catches you’ll ever see at any level on Sunday night. 
In the first quarter of the Michigan Division 1 state championship game at Ford Field, Adrian Walker Jr. of Belleville High School came down with a stunning pick off of Southfield A&T quarterback Isaiah Marshall. 
Marshall attempted to find a receiver deep down the field but Walker read the play perfectly and leaped to deflect the pass. As he landed back on the ground, Walker threw his hands behind him and pinned the fluttering ball against his back for an interception.

Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni was all class after a thrilling overtime win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
In the commotion following Jalen Hurts’ game-winning 12-yard touchdown run, Sirianni couldn’t track down Bills coach Sean McDermott for a customary postgame handshake. To make up for it, Sirianni went into the Bills locker room postgame alongside top Eagles front office executive Howie Roseman to shake hands with McDermott there.

Reich sucks, but David Tepper sucks more.
Frank Reich was supposed to turn the Panthers into a winner immediately. Now he’s gone after 11 games, earning the odious honor of having the worst coaching tenure in the history of the franchise.
On Monday morning the Carolina Panthers announced that Reich had been fired as head coach following a crushing loss to the Tennessee Titans, which might have been the Panthers’ last best chance to win another game in 2023.

Victory Wembanyama has amazed countless NBA fans and players during his rookie season. That list includes Denver Nuggets rookie Jalen Pickett, who was impressed by something other than Wembanyama’s on-the-court skillset.
Before the Nuggets’ game against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, Pickett and Wemby shook hands on the court. There’s nothing crazy about that, since guys shake hands all the time.
