Taulia Tagovailoa was apparently offered a significant amount of money to leave Maryland for the SEC.
Taulia is getting ready to suit up for his redshirt senior season with the Terrapins, and there were a lot of fans who worried he might leave the program after last season.
After all, the transfer portal is essentially just NFL free agency for the best players. You can hate it or love it, but it’s true.
Well, the SEC NIL kings apparently made a play and ultimately failed to lure Tua’s younger brother back to the conference he started at with Alabama.

But the Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowler says he does enjoy watching the show.
“I thought it was cool, I thought all the guys did a great job. I was happy more people got insight into the life of a quarterback and our jobs,” Smith told reporters Thursday. “This is a hard job, but if you don’t see what we do, it gets taken for granted.

Ceddanne Rafaela is Boston’s No. 2 prospect, according to MLB.com. The 22-year-old plays both shortstop and centerfield and has rocketed through the system after starting last season at High A Greenville. Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey suffered a non-contact knee injury on Thursday, jeopardizing the start of his 2023 season. According to head coach Mike McDaniel, the injury is to Ramsey’s meniscus and requires surgery on Friday.
While McDaniel said the exact timeline for Ramsey’s return will be determined after the surgery, the coach mentioned how he does not believe Ramsey will be ready until midseason. However, McDaniel was impressed by the cornerback’s demeanor throughout the process.
“The most amazing thing about the whole thing was the way Jalen responded,” McDaniel said.

Fantasy football analyst Matt Harmon breaks down all the latest from NFL training camps.
The 2023 NFL offseason has come and gone, and we now have a clear idea of what team rosters and depth charts look like with all 32 training camps open. It also means we can better project fantasy draft values and player rankings. With that said, here’s my updated look at every position as we inch closer to draft season.
I’ve used a full-point PPR scoring system for these rankings, so you’ll see a noted increase in wide receivers in the overall top 200. In fact, I have Justin Jefferson as my consensus No. 1 overall pick.
Nobody is ready for how tragic this story is.
The Von Erich family are professional wrestling’s greatest “what if” story. Texas wrestling royalty, helmed by legendary Fritz Von Erich, the expectation was that considering the ludicrous talent and potential Fritz’s five children had, all would become some of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
Instead the family saw generational tragedy. Now, this Christmas, Iron Claw will tell their story.
