An internal investigation at Purdue has found that Connor Stalions, the man at the center of Michigan’s alleged sign-stealing scheme, purchased tickets to six games at Ross-Ade Stadium over the past two seasons, according to a new report from Yahoo‘s Ross Dellenger.
Tickets were purchased by Stalions for four of the first five home games this year, including matchups against Fresno State, Syracuse, Illinois and Ohio State. Stalions also purchased tickets to games in 2022 against Penn State and Northwestern.
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Friday that Deshaun Watson will start Sunday at quarterback after missing three of the past four games with a shoulder injury.
Twins Matt and Ryan Bewley, former five-star prospects who signed to play basketball at Chicago State, sued the NCAA in federal court after they were denied eligibility for receiving money they say was tied to NIL while at Overtime Elite.
Colorado is elevating former NFL head coach Pat Shurmur to the team’s offensive playcaller, sources told ESPN, replacing Sean Lewis.
The Atlanta Falcons will be without their top receiver Sunday as the franchise has ruled out Drake London with a groin injury.
Clayton Kershaw announced on Instagram that he underwent left shoulder surgery to repair gleno-humeral ligaments, and his expected return date will be “some point next summer.”
Kershaw is coming off a season where he pitched to a 2.46 ERA in 26 games for the Dodgers, but he battled the shoulder injury throughout the year. He was able to start Game 1 of the Dodgers NLDS series vs. the Diamondbacks, but struggled mightily, allowing six runs while getting just one out in the game.
Following the game, Kershaw was non-committal on playing again in 2024.
Jerry Jones once again dropped the most unfortunate phrase in all of sports: “glory hole.”
The Dallas Cowboys owner appeared on 105.3 “The Fan” this morning, a sports-talk show in the Dallas area. One of the topics of discussion was what it feels like to win the Super Bowl.
Jones was the only authority on this matter, since few people on the Cowboys roster know what that’s like. If they do, they didn’t get the ring in Dallas; it’s been 27 years since anyone in that city has hoisted the Vince Lombardi trophy.
From 2018-22, Colorado assistant Sean Lewis oversaw one of college football’s most creative offenses at Kent State. The cash-strapped Golden Flashes didn’t win all that much—Lewis left with a career record of 24–31—but he was esteemed enough to be regarded as a winning hire for Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders.
Now, Sanders has reportedly demoted Lewis from his offensive coordinator role, intending to replace him with former Browns and Giants coach Pat Shurmur.
With Colorado’s offense largely having been a point of strength this year—the Buffaloes are averaging 32.
The Chargers (3–4) and Jets (4–3) are perfect foils. Los Angeles boasts one of the best offenses in the NFL but can’t stop anyone on the other end, while New York struggles to score and prides itself in its elite defense.
Even though the Jets carry a three-game winning streak into Monday Night Football at MetLife Stadium, they are still 3.5-point underdogs to the visiting Chargers, who ended a two-game losing streak last week. The over/under is set at 39.5, according to SI Sportsbook. It’s by far the lowest total of the season for L.A.
