Tom Mars, the lawyer of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, posted a cryptic tweet directed at ESPN after a report was quickly furnished by the outlet regarding the contents of a conference call held on Wednesday among Big Ten coaches.

Ahead of the São Paulo Grand Prix, Aston Martin made a little bit of news. The team confirmed on Thursday that Felipe Drugovich would return as their test and reserve driver for the 2024 season. Drugovich currently serves in that role for the team this season.
In addition, Drugovich will participate in the first practice session ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, driving in place of veteran Fernando Alonso.

After 52 seasons that started with the old Washington Senators moving from Washington D.C. to a frying pan of a baseball stadium in Arlington, Texas where they were fated to spend decades scratching and clawing for simple relevancy, the Texas Rangers have finally become the most relevant team in all of baseball.

Raiders owner Mark Davis gave himself until Oct. 31, the NFL’s trade deadline, to decide whether to fire coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler. After an embarrassing blowout loss to the Lions on Monday night, Davis saw enough and fired both of them Tuesday. He explained why: 
“Unfortunately, I had great hopes for Josh and Dave,” Davis said Wednesday, per ESPN. “It just seemed we were going in the wrong direction. So, with the trade deadline, I just felt it was time to make a change, time to make a move.

In what probably took waaaaaaaay to long to try, ESPN and Pat McAfee will test out an NFL RedZone-style broadcast during the Saturday night slate of college football games.
And yes, I know — y’all weirdly don’t like McAfee. We’ve heard you loud and clear. It’s a dumb take, but it’s yours and I respect it.
That being said, this is the smartest thing ESPN has done maybe ever? Granted, they’ve made some pretty dumb decisions over the years, so the bar isn’t high. But still — NFL RedZone is iconic and it was only a matter of time to test it out at the college level.

Wednesday night’s clash between the Clippers and Lakers provided some early-season sizzle to what figures to be a fierce Western Conference race. The Clippers had defeated their intra-city rivals in their past 11 matchups, but LeBron James seemed intent on snapping that losing streak.
James provided a highlight play midway through the second quarter. After losing his left shoe, he passed the ball up court and was slow to join the ensuing offensive possession. The Clippers didn’t account for James on defense since he was on the other end of the court.

Prior to going out and acquiring James Harden from Philadelphia, the Los Angeles Clippers were already championship contenders in the minds of many. Adding Harden to a roster with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and Ivica Zubac has turned them into a legitimate force.
On paper, that is.
Having too many cooks in the kitchen is a very real thing, and the walls can get tight in a hurry when Harden is the one being thrown into the mix. We’re talking about a player making $35 million this season who is now suiting up for his fourth different team since 2021.

Coaches around the Big Ten are putting pressure on conference commissioner Tony Petitti to punish Michigan in the wake of the investigation into the school for potential sign-stealing, according to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
On a 90-minute league-wide conference call on Wednesday, a “vast majority” of coaches in the Big Ten voiced their frustrations with the investigation. Harbaugh was present on the call for 60 of the 90 minutes, according to Thamel.
