As Damian Lillard’s future with the Trail Blazers remains unclear, The Athletic’s Sam Amick reported Monday that there are two possible trades that could keep the All-Star point guard in Portland, although Amick notes that the moves are “unlikely.”
Raptors teammates Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby are reportedly a hot commodity on the trade market, and Amick wrote that bringing the duo to Portland would “suffice” in order to keep Lillard around. However, Raptors president Masai Ujiri has been “rebuffing” any offers that come their way.
The Rockets have been reported to be a serious contender to sign James Harden in free agency this offseason, and apparently that remains the case even though the team added to its backcourt at Thursday’s NBA draft.
Despite selecting guard Amen Thompson with the No. 4 pick, Houston is still seriously interested in reuniting with Harden, according to The Athletic’s Sam Amick. Harden is expected to decline his $35.6 million player option with the 76ers to become a free agent on Friday, and both Philadelphia and the Rockets are expected to be favorites to land the former MVP.
The dog days of summer are upon us, and unfortunately, we’ve hit that part of the PGA Tour schedule where things feel dull. Keegan Bradley getting the job done at the Travelers Championship in his hometown-ish event was a cool scene, but nothing about last week felt ‘elevated.’ More on that later.
Rory McIlroy picked up a T-7 finish at the Travelers thanks to a 64 Sunday, but it was what he said about the golf course after his round that should be on the mind of golf fans.
Florida pitcher Brandon Sproat throws hard. Just ask LSU’s Dylan Crews.
The Gators and Tigers are currently squaring off in the Men’s College World Series finals and Sproat had his hands full right off the bat in Game 1. Crews, who won the Golden Spikes Award this year as the best player in the country, led off the game for LSU. You don’t want to give a hitter like him anything to hit over the heart of the plate, but on a 1–2 count, Sproat went a little too far inside on Crews and drilled him in the ribs with a 100 mph fastball.

The Men’s College World Series comes down to Game 3 Monday
It all comes down to this.
Monday evening in Omaha, LSU and Florida will square off in a decisive Game 3 in the Finals of the Men’s College World Series. After LSU won in dramatic fashion, walking it off Saturday night in extra innings, the Gators evened the series on Sunday by hanging 24 runs on the Tigers, a new MCWS record.
Now the teams have one game left with everything on the line.
Florida likely turns to Jac Caglianone to get the start, as he is next in their rotation.
It’s been nearly 13 years since LeBron James’s famous statement that he would be taking his “talents to South Beach.” Now, another top-tier NBA superstar could wind up following suit, as Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard appears to have a close eye on the Heat.
Amid looming questions about the Blazers’ approach to free agency after opting not to trade the No. 3 pick in the 2023 NBA draft, the league is in wait-and-see mode on what Lillard will do.

He’s the greatest of all time for a reason, folks
There’s a reason people call Bryan Danielson the greatest professional wrestler of all time. Not only for his matches, which can be both breathtaking and awe inducing. Not for the technical mastery, which he displays through vicious strikes and submissions that would break the toughest individuals.
No, Danielson is the greatest professional wrestler of all-time because of the lengths he’ll go to despite his body starting to break.
No. 1 draft pick Victor Wembanyama has decided not to play for France in this summer’s FIBA World Cup and instead will focus on preparing for his rookie season with the San Antonio Spurs and next year’s Paris Olympics.
Alabama point guard Jahvon Quinerly plans to enter the transfer portal, he announced Sunday.
