Ohio State fans are delighted over every bit of news regarding the NCAA investigation into sign-stealing accusations against the Michigan football program. But a former Buckeyes star has different feelings on the matter.
Maurice Clarett, a freshman running back on Ohio State’s 2002 national championship team, surprisingly voiced his support for Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh in light of the NCAA probe on social media.

The Detroit Lions debuted an … interesting? … helmet/uniform combination on Monday Night Football in their match against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Lions are wearing a blue helmet (dubbed “Honolulu Blue,” which I legitimately learned about on Monday night) with a throwback logo on the side. They paired that with an all-gray uniform.
My opinion: the combination is horrible. The helmet color is actually pretty cool, to be honest. But, the logo is terrible. I understand the idea of a throwback, but sometimes logos are retired for a reason.

Aaron Rodgers’s speedy recovery from a torn Achilles is inspiring hope for a Jets squad on a three-game winning streak.
Jets punter Thomas Morstead joined The Pat McAfee Show on Monday and stated that Rodgers’s remarkable progress has his teammates envisioning a storybook ending.
“It is a hope thing,” Morstead told McAfee. “All of a sudden, he is doing something new and you are like, ‘wow,’ this sort of unrealistic prediction that he is coming back this season, there is a hope there and I just think guys love seeing it.

The victory marked the latest step in a dream Hazen has been building since he arrived here before the 2017 season. It also created a real problem for one of the most superstitious people in a sport built on delusion.
Historically, Hazen has not permitted himself to watch the end of games.

The Tennessee Titans pulled out a 28-23 victory Sunday over the Atlanta Falcons. It was a dazzling debut for rookie quarterback Will Levis and a much-needed win for a Tennessee team that seemed to be on the verge of collapse.
So even though Titans fans left the stadium happy, they certainly didn’t feel that way on the opening drive. And they let the players know about it.

While Levis started the game, head coach Mike Vrabel sent backup QB Malik Willis in for the fourth snap — which he proceeded to fumble.

A Flyers fan turned heads at the Wells Fargo Center on Monday night, having been granted entrance to the game against the Hurricanes with his emotional support alligator.
The fan, Joie Henney, and his alligator, Wally, were photographed in the stadium, with the reptile being held by its owner as he walked around the building.
In September, the pair attempted to attend a Phillies game but was denied entrance to the stadium because Citizens Bank Park only allows service animals on the premises, not emotional support animals.

It’s been rough out there for Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo.
Russo put his credibility on the line when he announced that the Arizona Diamondbacks could and would not defeat the Phillies in Philly in Games 6 and 7 of the NLCS. Russo announced he would retire if such a thing happened … which it did.
Now, Russo’s covering the D-Backs as they vie for a Fall Classic win over the Texas Rangers. Heading into Monday night’s Game 3 (series tied, 1-1), the Diamondbacks’ social media had fun with Russo adding the L in “NLCS champs.
