Zak Herbstreit, the son of ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit and a tight end at Ohio State, has been hospitalized, per multiple reports. While the cause of Herbstreit’s hospitalization is unclear, Herbstreit is in stable condition at Wexner Medical Center on Ohio State’s campus and is being monitored by medical staff, according to WSYX in Ohio.
Although Herbstreit’s condition is not publicized, Kirk said that his son is surrounded by family right now.
“His family is with him and appreciate everyone’s concerns and prayers,” Kirk Herbstreit said, via WSYX.

The New York Jets QB started Online Sports Database with co-founder Ryan Rottman, and the idea is it’s IMDB for athletes.
The site lists a player’s position, height, weight, number, college, endorsement information and more interesting tidbits, according to Bloomberg. So far, the duo has raised $4 million and the two are now hoping a “crowdsourcing campaign” can bring in another $1.5 million, according to the same report.
