Fresh off swiping fries, burgers, and chicken nuggets from Patrick Mahomes in a recent State Farm commercial, Chiefs coach Andy Reid is breaking out on his own with a new ad campaign that makes a nod to the past.
Snickers is featuring the two-time Super Bowl champion in a spot in which an end zone is being painted and Reid comes in at the end to point out that a big mistake has been made.
“Hey, that’s great,” Reid says to the groundskeeper, putting an arm around him.

1. The Ringer’s Bill Simmons made his first appearance on SI Media With Jimmy Traina this week.
The sports media powerhouse gave us insight into his successful career while also opining on some sports media topics during the 90-minute conversation.
Some of the highlights included Simmons’s response when I asked him how he remembers his time at ESPN.
Bill Simmons Is ‘Super Proud’ of Time at ESPN (1:28)
Here’s why Simmons isn’t convinced Tom Brady will join Fox next season as its lead NFL analyst.
The WNBA Finals wrapped up on Wednesday night with the Las Vegas Aces knocking off the New York Liberty in Brooklyn. With ESPN being the exclusive broadcast partner of the WNBA – which translates to lighting money on fire – the network is already doing serious leg work ahead of the catastrophically bad TV ratings yet to be released.
Flora Kelly, the Vice President of ESPN Research, shared a screenshot of a survey on X, formerly Twitter, that shows 54% of an unknown number of people surveyed believe that women’s sports entail “more technique and strategy” than men’s sports.
A’ja Wilson wants Aces fans to be 8 shots deep at their championship parade
A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces are on top of the world. The Aces won their second straight WNBA championship on Wednesday night by polishing off the New York Liberty, 70-69, in Game 4 of the WNBA Finals. Las Vegas becomes the first team to go back-to-back since the 2001-2002. The Houston Comets, who won four straight titles from 1997-2000, are the only other team to win consecutive championships in league history.
The Aces are loaded with talent.
Forget welcoming Creed “With Arms Wide Open,” the Texas Rangers might want to ban them after they showed up to Wednesday night’s Rangers-Astros game only to see the team lose.
For my non-MLB readers out there, Creed’s “Higher” has been the Rangers unofficial theme song the last couple of months after pitcher Andrew Heaney credited the band’s music for loosening the guys up in the clubhouse and helping them make a run through the opening rounds of the playoffs.

These are the trades we want to see before the Halloween trade deadline
It wasn’t long ago that the NFL Trade Deadline was the most-hyped date on the NFL calendar where nothing actually happened — but now things are different. Teams have never been more disposed to making player deals around the league, and in recently years we’ve actually seen some major deals go down in the week leading up to the deadline.
In 2022 this was headlined by Christian McCaffrey being dealt to the 49ers, but he wasn’t the only one.
The Aces became the first WNBA team to win back-to-back titles in over 20 years with a Game 4 victory over the Liberty.
Sparked by timely hits, big catches and clutch pitching performances, the Astros secured a desperately needed road win over the Rangers on Wednesday night to close the gap in the ALCS.
Max Scherzer lasted four innings in his first start in more than a month, leaving with a five-run deficit in an 8-5 loss to the Astros on Wednesday night that cut the Rangers’ series lead to 2-1.
