With the entire golfing world watching, Wyndham Clark captured his first major championship at the 123rd U.S. Open at the Los Angeles Country Club.
Clark shot an even-par 70 Sunday. He stayed even-keeled throughout the round and finished one stroke ahead of Rory McIlroy, perhaps the most popular player on the planet and one of the greatest golfers of his generation.

Twitter exploded Sunday afternoon when the bombshell news broke that the Wizards were trading star shooting guard Bradley Beal to the Suns to form the NBA’s newest superteam. Many of the reactions indicated shock, but Trail Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkić found it hilarious and took the opportunity to take a shot at Kevin Durant.
“Brooklyn situation all all over again,” Nurkić wrote on Twitter with a laughing emoji.
The Portland center is referencing Durant’s collaboration with Kyrie Irving and James Harden that ultimately crashed out burned.

Daniel Ricciardo debuted a new alternate F1 telecast with Will Arnett, and Josh Allen had to support his friend
ESPN debuted an alternate telecast for Sunday’s Canadian Grand Prix, titled “The Grandstand with Daniel Ricciardo and Will Arnett.” Produced in partnership with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, the alternate F1 broadcast followed the model presented by “The Manningcast” for Monday Night Football, with former driver Ricciardo paired with actor and F1 fan Arnett, with special guests along the way.

Ja Morant was suspended 25 games by the National Basketball Association on Friday. The league has made it clear that Ja’s behavior is “destructive” and the union for the players has stated that the suspension was “excessive”. Perhaps there will be an appeal. Perhaps there won’t. Maybe Ja has grounds to win such a process with an independent arbitrator.

Valor Christian High School was well represented Sunday when Wyndham Clark won his first major championship at the U.S. Open and earned praise from another famous alum. San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl running back Christian McCaffrey took to Instagram after the tournament and gave his former classmate some love after the big win. 
“That Boy!” McCaffrey wrote on his Instagram story. 
The 27-year-old tailback reposted several things about Clark on his Instagram story after the victory.

A North Carolina fishing tournament ended in controversy over the weekend as a group that caught a 619-pound blue marlin was disqualified after a review.
The boat named Sensation reeled in the fish as part of the 65th Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament in Morehead City. The tournament organizers on Saturday showed a photo of the crew on its Facebook page with the gigantic catch but warned the group could be in violation of one of the rules.
The tournament took place in Morehead City, North Carolina.
