Colorado coach Deion Sanders is shaking up his coaching staff ahead of the Buffaloes’ game against No. 16 Oregon State on Saturday.
Sanders has stripped offensive coordinator Sean Lewis of his play-calling duties and is tapping offensive quality control analyst Pat Shurmur to call plays against the Beavers, Action Network’s Brett McMurphy reports. Lewis still is expected to signal the plays in from the sideline, McMurphy adds, but it’ll be Shurmur calling the shots.
Shurmur is a longtime NFL coach who once served as head coach of the Browns and Giants.

One of the World Wide Technology Championship Monday qualifiers is 17-year-old Billy Davis, and he is already making noise in Mexico.
Billy Davis is a 17-year-old golfer who Monday qualified his way into the PGA Tour’s World Wide Technology Championship in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This is the first PGA Tour event played at a Tiger Woods-designed course at El Cardonal at Diamante.
Shockingly, he carded a 1-under 71 Thursday and is off to a hot start during his second round Friday.
The Steelers defeated the Titans on Thursday night, improving to 5-3 on the season as they remain in the thick of the AFC playoff picture. The win came even though Tennessee outgained Pittsburgh 340 yards to 326, something that actually has been pretty common this year.
Thursday’s contest marked the eighth consecutive game in which the Steelers have been outgained by their opponent to begin the season, the 34th time that has happened to an NFL team since 1933.

Eskimo Joe’s opened its doors on West Elm Street in Stillwater, Okla., in July 1975, the brainchild of a couple of new Oklahoma State graduates. The bar was right next to campus and a short walk from the football stadium, quickly establishing it as the social anchor before and after the Cowboys play.
Nearly 50 years and an untold number of sold T-shirts later, it’s still the landmark game-day location in an isolated college town. Clemson has the Esso Club, Oklahoma State has Eskimo Joe’s. Its fame has extended far beyond state borders.
Saturday, doors will open at 9 a.m.
When it comes to touchdown celebrations, few were as creative as Chad Ochocinco. When the three-time All-Pro hit pay dirt, you could count on him to pull a wild stunt that Cincinnati Bengals fans would love.
There was the river dance, the proposal and, of course, the controversial Hall of Fame jacket. But one of Ochocinco’s most memorable TD celebrations came in November 2007 when he took over a TV camera and began filming the crowd.

This moment was so iconic, in fact, that current Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase wants to re-create it.
Most college football fans can’t relate to being an elite athlete who makes dazzling plays in front of thousands of fans on fall Saturdays.
However, Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter has been dealing with an issue to which plenty of students and fans can relate. He’s getting too many parking tickets on campus.
Hunter expressed his frustrations during a video clip which featured the Buffaloes’ preparations for their Week 10 matchup with Oregon State.
“I need everybody at Colorado to see this, bro. I’m tired of paying for parking,” Hunter said.
Victor Wembanyama might truly be an extraterrestrial in a San Antonio Spurs uniform.
During a game against the Phoenix Suns last night, Wembanyama dropped 38 points in a 132-121 win. Phoenix remarkably erased a 27-point deficit to get the game tied at 116 with 4:21 left in the fourth quarter.
That’s when the former No. 1 overall pick went into hyper drive, outsourcing the Suns 10-5 by himself en route to the win.
Wembanyama’s highlight reel was absolutely incredible.

Rasul Douglas couldn’t believe he was being traded from the Green Bay Packers to the Buffalo Bills, literally.
Buffalo’s newest cornerback spoke with the local media for the first time on Thursday and shared details of the moment he found out he was being shipped to one of the AFC’s top teams. Douglas explained that Green Bay general manager Brian Gutekunst called him, but kept the message short and sweet, which led him to believe he wasn’t exactly being serious.
