Drew Allar, quarterback of No. 7 Penn State, is a native of Medina, Ohio—and presumably entered Saturday’s showdown against No. 3 Ohio State eager to show out in front of his home state.
However, the Buckeyes had other ideas. Allar had a miserable afternoon in an old-fashioned Big Ten slugfest, completing just 18 of his 42 passes for 191 yards and a touchdown.
Meeting reporters after the Nittany Lions’ seventh consecutive loss to Ohio State, Allar didn’t mince words about his performance.
“[I] sucked,” an emotional Allar said.

No. 7 Penn State traveled to No. 3 Ohio State for what was supposed to be one of the biggest games of the college football slate this weekend.
The Big Ten rivalry match instead quickly proved to be a slog, with both defenses largely shutting down the opposing offenses, resulting in far less action than viewers were hoping for coming into the day.
The Nittany Lions offense was especially painful to watch, going a dismal 1-for-16 on third down conversions.

49ers on NBCS on ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter, shared a video of McCaffrey running routes ahead of the Monday night showdown with the Vikings.

A Boston College defensive back made one of the wildest plays of the afternoon against Georgia Tech.
In the first quarter, Yellow Jackets quarterback Haynes King dropped back on a 3rd-and-8 from his own 24 yard line, looking for wide receiver Dominick Blaylock. It was an ill-advised throw, considering that Amari Jackson had him well covered.
At first, Jackson appeared to just knock the ball away to force a fourth down. But as the defensive back regained his balance, he somehow ended up with the ball in his hands.

No. 3 Ohio State took down No. 7 Penn State on Saturday, 20-12, in a slog of a game between Big Ten powerhouses.
Both defenses looked dominant, and both offenses struggled, but the Buckeyes had one key ingredient that the Nittany Lions lacked: star receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
With Ohio State holding a 13-6 lead in the fourth quarter and looking to put the game away, Harrison came up big, breaking open on a crossing route, reeling in a pass from quarterback Kyle McCord and sprinting to the goal line.
