Shams Charania is one of the most recognizable names not just in NBA media, but in sports media as a whole. He is a legitimate rival to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski when it comes to breaking the league’s biggest news first, and you don’t just fall into that position, you have to work, work, and then work a little bit more.
Given the state of today’s NBA where trade rumors and deals garner more attention than the actual product on the hardwood, there is very little time off for someone trying to keep up with the endless drama around the league.

C.J. Stroud said something to me, walking through NRG Stadium towards his postgame press conference, that might contradict what you think of him, if you just look at the stats.

He’s playing for a Year 1 head coach and working with a first-time offensive coordinator. All of it might make you assume this is some sort of Checkdown Charlie operation.

Each NBA season, the league floods the market with alternate jerseys, hoping to capitalize on fans’ nostalgia for a team’s old look or a successful era of yesteryear. In recent seasons, NBA teams have broken out of regular color schemes and designs with “City Edition“ jerseys from Nike that often feature bold creativity.
However, Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma thinks it’s all a bit too much. Teams have so many alternate jerseys now that players seem to be sporting a different look in nearly every game.

The New York Jets handed the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the season Sunday. On one hand, you could chalk it up as a classic trap game for Philly. They have the 5-1 Miami Dolphins in prime time next week, and they simply overlooked the lowly Zach Wilson-led Jets.
On the other hand, though — and hear me out — you could argue the Jets aren’t as horrendous as we originally thought.
