The NCAA announced Thursday that flopping will now be a penalized foul in women’s college basketball. If a player has been judged to have flopped by a referee, the player will be assessed a warning. Anytime a player is deemed to have flopped after the first warning, that person will be assessed a technical foul. 
The second flopping call or any thereafter will add to the team’s foul count, but will not be counted as the individual’s five fouls that would lead to an ejection. All three divisions in the NCAA will adopt the rule change, while the NBA reportedly weighs a similar revision.

The Portland Sea Dogs, the Red Sox’s Double A affiliate, paid homage to one of their alternate team names over the weekend by attempting to set a Guinness world record.
As the team played for the fourth time in recent years as the Maine Whoopie Pies on Friday night, it was only fitting that the team try to set a record for the longest line of whoopie pies. There is no official previous record holder for this category.
Regardless, the team lined up 2,129 whoopie pies to reach a distance of 665 feet. An image of a giant whoopie pie ultimately was created as well.

This battle of top-ranked lightweights was supposed to be Dariush’s crowning moment. Heat guard Tyler Herro will try to return to action in Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Nuggets on Monday night after recovering from a broken right hand, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports. Miami has upgraded Herro’s status to questionable ahead of the game.
Herro first suffered the injury in Game 1 of the Heat’s first-round series against the Bucks and was diagnosed with a fracture before the game ended. The Heat have left the timetable for his recovery open, giving him a chance to return if Miami made it this far in the playoffs.

Nick Taylor ended the Canadian curse after winning the RBC Canadian Open, and the reactions to his incredible winning putt are priceless.
Nick Taylor became a national hero after sinking a 72-foot eagle putt to become the first Canadian in 69 years to win the RBC Canadian Open.
The reactions that came from that win are instant classics because most of them are at the expense of Taylor’s fellow Canadian, Adam Hadwin, who got tackled by security while trying to celebrate, but still, it was clear this win meant something.

The Nuggets are on the brink of winning their first NBA title in franchise history while the Heat are on the verge of their second Finals loss in four years.
Denver is an 8.5-point home favorite for Game 5 of the NBA Finals Monday night after taking both games in Miami to build a 3–1 series lead. The West’s No. 1 seed is an overwhelming favorite to not only win the title but to do so tonight. The most likely series score at SI Sportsbook is a 4–1 Nuggets win (-450).
If this line holds, it will be the second-largest of the Finals.

Nick Taylor finally ended the drought, dramatically defeating Tommy Fleetwood on the fourth playoff hole to secure the victory. In epic fashion, Taylor sank a 72-foot eagle putt for the win.

The Houston Texans announced they will honor former defensive star JJ Watt on October 1, 2023. That’s the second home game of the year for the team and they’ll play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fitting, of course, that JJ’s brother, TJ, plays for Pittsburgh.
The team announced the ceremony with a video on social media narrated by NFL play-by-play man Jim Nantz. The Texans plan to enter Watt into their “Ring of Honor.”
