Saints QB Derek Carr blew his lid during a Thursday night loss to the Jaguars.
Jacksonville beat 31-24, and the game featured an incredible moment of Carr attempting to deflect blame for an atrocious pass he uncorked for Chris Olave.
The Saints passer lobbed the ball deep down the sideline early in the fourth quarter on 3rd & 5, and it didn’t come close to a place where the former Ohio State star could have snagged it.

It was overthrown and several yards out of bounds.

NEW ORLEANS – Trevor Lawrence can finally leave the Big Easy without a hard edge.
“I’ve had a bad taste in my mouth every time I’ve left New Orleans,” he said.
Not this time. Lawrence shook off a left knee sprain from Sunday against Indianapolis and completed 20 of 29 passes for 204 yards and the game-winning touchdown for Jacksonville in a 31-24 victory over the Saints at the Superdome Thursday night.
It’s no secret, money played a significant role in the decision-making process for every player who has joined LIV Golf. While plenty of players on the Saudi-backed circuit still refuse to admit the money factor publically and are still hanging onto the disingenuous ‘we’re growing the game’ tagline, but Brooks Koepka isn’t subscribing to that.
The five-time major winner was announced as LIV’s latest signing in June of 2022. Rumors immediately started about what sort of contract Koepka had to have been offered to make the jump to the breakaway circuit.
Rudy Noorlander is using surviving a grizzly bear attack to pour fuel on a historic Montana college football rivalry.
Noorlander was attacked by a grizzly bear in early September while looking for a deer, and he didn’t have time to grab his gun or bear spray, according to ABC News. The bear took off his jaw, and Noorlander had to spend five weeks in a Utah hospital.
Montana man is ready for college football rivalry after bear attack.
He’s now hoping to see his dog, have a root beer float and perhaps attend the Montana/Montana State game in November.
At the end of last week, before the Patriots sunk to 1–5 with a loss to the Raiders, I was a guest on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston to deliver a verbal mea culpa for picking the Patriots to win the AFC East. It is something I believe we should all do when we go out on a limb, to communicate with the public that we are human, we make mistakes, there is a reason behind the mistake and we’re not just milking them for a few easy clicks.
Foster Moreau dropped a game-tying touchdown for the Saints, but his teammates had his back.
The New Orleans Saints and Jacksonville Jaguars met in Thursday Night Football to open Week 7 in a matchup of two teams headed in different directions. The Jaguars entered on a three-game winning streak, inciting hope the team could take a real leap in the AFC this season. The Saints had lost three of their last four games, felt like a team just trying to hold on to an unraveling season.
Oddsmakers don’t expect a lot of points in the Iowa/Minnesota game.
The Hawkeyes enter the Saturday game 6-1 and the Gophers are 3-3. Both teams have had serious offensive struggles, and there’s a serious case to be made Iowa has the worst offense in the P5.
Despite the terrible offense, the Hawkeyes keep winning, even if the team only passed for 37 yards against Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin/Iowa game might have set the sport of football back 100 years, but a win is a win for the Hawkeyes. Feel free to roast me for being a Badgers fan at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
Lewis Hamilton is 30 points behind Sergio Perez with five races to go.
Penn State coach James Franklin did the one thing you should never do in the coaching world:
Go full Trent Dilfer.
Penn State plays Ohio State this Saturday in Columbus and the game has major College Football Playoff implications.
The winner will be in great postseason position, and the loser will need to win out and hope for some help. The stakes couldn’t be any higher, and I’d love to hear your predictions at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Houston got even with Texas with the kind of October outburst it’s perfected over the years. And no one exemplifies that more than Jose Altuve, playing in his 100th postseason game.
