The Diamondbacks are going back to the World Series for the first time in 22 years after stunning the Phillies in Game 7 on Tuesday night, 4-2. Arizona will take on the Texas Rangers in the Fall Classic, which starts Friday night. 
Arizona won both Game 6 and 7 in Philadelphia to punch its ticket to the World Series. This came after the Diamondbacks swept the 100-win Dodgers in the NLDS.

Homelessness and crime are so out of control in Seattle that kids can’t even safely play soccer.
Valor Soccer, a youth soccer league created for underprivileged kids, has elected to cancel the remainder of its season due to the crime plaguing the area where games are played. The field is located next to the well-known and very populated Green River Rd. homeless encampment.
The King County Sheriff’s Office has received 991 calls for drug overdoses, fights, fires, and shootings over the last few months.

Rookie Will Levis is expected to start at quarterback for the Titans in their Week 8 matchup against the Falcons. Both Levis and Malik Willis will play in the game, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Regular starter Ryan Tannehill will miss the game due to a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 6’s loss to the Ravens. Tennessee had a bye last week. 
Coach Mike Vrabel told reporters on Tuesday that Tannehill could be out for Sunday’s game, but didn’t announce whether Levis or Willis would start in his place.

It’s funny seeing how many football pundits were quick to praise Lamar Jackson and the Ravens for their dominant performance vs. the Lions without saying how wrong they were about them.
I’ll admit it. I didn’t give the Ravens’ new-look offense enough time to put it together and was critical of Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Monken, especially after the offensive dud in the 17–10 loss to the Steelers in Week 5.
They had been inconsistent the first six weeks of the season, but it finally came together in Week 7 against Detroit.

I consider myself a pretty hardcore tennis fan. I remember where I was when Sampras puked in the flower pots; the score from Stan’s French Open win over Djoker is my PIN. But I have to confess that aside from about 27 minutes of Laver Cup, I haven’t watched any tennis since the U.S. Open ended. And this isn’t unusual for me. Part of it is that the late-season tournaments are often indoors and the court is painted weird colors, but also the tournaments seem inconsequential since they’re not building up to a major.
