Former 76ers coach Doc Rivers appeared on The Dan Patrick Show Wednesday and said that James Harden not being selected for the All Star Game changed his approach to the team for the worse.
Rivers said Harden was a “terrific player” for the first half of the 2022–23 season because he was “being a point guard,” referencing how Harden was facilitating and passing the ball, and wasn’t chasing numbers. Rivers even said a coach called him during the team’s impressive start to the year and said, “I never thought anyone could get him to do that.

As uncertainty continues to swirl around the Browns’ quarterback situation, Cleveland will turn once again to its backup on Sunday.
The Browns will start quarterback PJ Walker against the Seahawks, Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski announced in a press conference Wednesday.
Walker, 28, has played in two games for the Browns this season. On Oct. 15, he started and steered Cleveland to a 19–17 upset of the 49ers; a week later, he relieved injured quarterback Deshaun Watson and helped the Browns beat the Colts 39–38.
Former NBA star Dwight Howard has denied allegations of sexual assault, battery and false imprisonment that were filed against him in July and asked a court to dismiss a civil lawsuit he is facing in Georgia. Howard said that he engaged in “consensual sexual activity” with a man during a July 2021 encounter at Howard’s residence in the Atlanta suburb of Suwanee, according to court documents obtained by the Guardian.
The Bills are favored by 8.5 vs. the Buccaneers for this week’s Thursday Night Football game. Despite being upset by the Patriots on Sunday, SI Sportsbook still believes the Bills will win by a large margin. Perhaps some of that advantage has to do with the fact that Baker Mayfield popped up on the injury report early in the week. Though most expect Baker to play, we don’t have many player props for the Buccaneers as of Wednesday morning. However, there are still a few early values I like in this primetime game.

After a disappointing start to his 2023-24 season, Fox Sports radio host Colin Cowherd came up with a hilarious analogy for Lakers star Anthony Davis’ inconsistencies.
Davis has been under fire from the media after an underwhelming performance on opening night, held scoreless in the second half against the Nuggets on Tuesday en route to just a 17-point performance. That drew the ire of Cowherd, who used the perfect comparison to criticize the Lakers star.
Do you kiss your mom with that mouth?
Any time a team loses it hurts the fans, but especially for Phillies fans expecting greatness out of their team this year. Philadelphia had one of the highest payrolls in baseball — almost double that of Arizona, and then watched their season come crashing down at home.
Local radio luminary “Buster” was on hand outside of Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday night and witnessed everything come crashing down. As you can imagine the language here is very NFSW.
All nightmares, no dreams.
Giants coach Brian Daboll threw water on the idea of the team trading away star running back Saquon Barkley before the Oct. 31 trade deadline when speaking to the media on Wednesday.
“That’s not happening,” Daboll said.
Barkley told reporters last week that he didn’t want to get traded.
“Sitting here, everyone knows how I feel,” Barkley told reporters Thursday. “I don’t think anyone in their right mind would want to get traded anywhere. It’s not an easy thing to do. You have to move. I have a family. I would love to be here. But like I said, it’s not in my control.

The Los Angeles Laker star detailed the success he has had on the golf course, proving his athletic prowess beyond basketball.
Los Angeles Lakers star guard Austin Reaves struggled in his team’s season-opening loss to the Denver Nuggets, scoring just 14 points on 4-of-11 shooting.
But in a video released by the PGA Tour, Reaves revealed that he does not struggle to hit a golf ball.
The primary reason why you haven’t seen a zillion new videos of the Phillies celebrating was the offense going cold. But that was far from the only reason.
Dwight Howard has denied sexual assault and battery allegations filed against him earlier this year while seeking to have a civil lawsuit dismissed but did go on the record saying he engaged in sexual activity with the male accuser he met on Instagram.
The lawsuit accused the former NBA star of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment.
According to court documents, Howard said that he took part in “consensual sexual activity” with a man named Stephen Harper in July 2021 at Howard’s Georgia home.
