Damian Lillard finally was traded, from the Trail Blazers to the Bucks, late last month, capping a summer-long saga that appeared as if it never would end.
It’s no secret that Lillard preferred to be traded to the Heat, but a package suitable to Portland’s liking apparently never materialized. Now, according to Ben Mallard of Fox Sports Radio, perhaps the Blazers simply did not want to acquiesce to Lillard and his agent, Aaron Goodwin.
Mallard discussed his intel, collected from anonymous NBA sources, Thursday on Fox Sports Radio.

The final division series of the 2023 MLB playoffs is over. Here’s how it all went down.
Andrew Marchand of the New York Post published a story Thursday revealing that ESPN personality Pat McAfee has paid Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Alabama coach Nick Saban to appear on The Pat McAfee Show.
The report was posted during Thursday’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show, and McAfee addressed the matter live on the air. Not only did McAfee confirm that he pays guests—including more than $1 million to Rodgers—but he also took issue with Marchand’s angle.
As fans swarmed outside her bus, cheering and waving homemade signs while television cameras rolled, Caitlin Clark realized she was in her pajamas.
She had been so exhausted by her pursuit of a championship that she hadn’t considered what awaited at the end of the ride. After a long few weeks away, Clark was back in Iowa, the only state she had ever called home, a place she had always loved and one that had come to love her back. What she did not initially grasp was just how much that had intensified while she was away.
Clark was returning to the same state but a different world.
Week 7 brings the game of the year to the table as just an appetizer for a deep-night slate. Trust us: You’re going to need more screens to get all of the good stuff in primetime.

Week 6 is upon us, and it’s time to check in on some early player prop values at SI Sportsbook.
This week I’ve found three receivers that I like to exceed their props, as well as a running back and a tight end that should see more opportunity due to recent injuries.
Keep checking back in at SI Sportsbook all weekend as more and more player markets will open up!
Here are the markets I am targeting today:
DeAndre Hopkins over 3.5 receptions (-130)
Hopkins saw 11 targets last week and he caught eight of them for 140 yards.
Transgender athletes – biological men – have been infiltrating women’s cycling for quite some time and now the absurdity has hit a new level with a pair of trans cyclists winning gold and silver in the women’s division of Chicago’s CycloCross Cup.
Tessa Johnson took the top place on the podium during the women’s SingleSpeed with Evelyn Williamson finishing second. Allison Zmuda, a biological female earned bronze in the competition, and somehow stood on the podium with a smile on her face after losing to two biological men who competed against her with a biological advantage.
Brent Venables’ talents aren’t limited to just coaching and beating Texas.
The Oklahoma Sooners are coming off an absolutely monster win over the Longhorns last weekend, and are currently ranked fifth in America. After some serious struggles in year one, Venables has the Sooners rolling in year two.
He’s also apparently getting plenty of reps in practice as the scout team QB for Oklahoma. At the age of 52, Venables apparently has no problem cooking the team’s defense.

One of F1’s iconic tracks will be on the schedule through 2025
One of the most iconic circuits in all of Formula 1 will be back for at least two more seasons. F1 announced on Friday that the Belgian Grand Prix will remain on the calendar until 2025, after a one-year extension of the current deal, which was set to expire at the end of 2024.
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, or Spa as it is commonly known, is one of the drivers’ favorite circuits on the entire schedule.
NFL scouts are flooding into Seattle to watch Washington host Oregon.
The Ducks and Huskies play Saturday afternoon, and the eyes of the college football world will be on the game.
Turns out, it won’t just be the college football world watching. There will also be plenty of NFL scouts in attendance. Nearly three dozen are expected to be in the stands.
“There’s going to be 34 NFL scouts in attendance at Husky Stadium. That’s more scouts than teams. The obvious focus is going to be on Bo Nix and Michael Penix.
