David Bell may not have caught a pass during the Browns’ 39-38 win over the Colts on Sunday, but it was still quite the memorable day for the Cleveland wide receiver. Not only was it a homecoming for the Indianapolis product who played college football at Purdue, but one of his relatives gave birth to his niece inside Lucas Oil Stadium.
Talk about a football game that had a bit of everything. Not only was it an extremely high-scoring affair that saw the Browns score the winning touchdown with 15 seconds left, but a new life began at the home of the Colts.

The NBA is already afraid of Wemby.
The Mavericks know what’s up. The NBA preseason showed us that rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama is damn near impossible to deal with. A 7’4 center that moves like a three on the perimeter is a nightmare for shooters, so Dallas are getting ready with GIANT WEMBY MITTS!
It’s official: Mavs are prepping for the Spurs, specifically 7-4 rookie Victor Wembanyama, with God Shammgod playing the role of Wemby. “Wemby! Wemby” he hollered while going out to defend Irving with his artificial Wemby length. pic.twitter.
The NFL on CBS took the analysis of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce to the next level on Sunday when discussing his performances in the wake of his relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift.
The network put up a statistic on the screen showing that Kelce has performed better with Swift in attendance, as he entered Sunday averaging 99.0 yards per game when Swift has been present, while averaging just 46.5 yards per game when she was not present.
Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons discussed the coverage on his podcast, and as usual, the Dallas star did not disappoint.
Colorado safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig isn’t happy with the school’s parking rules.
Silmon-Craig is having a very solid season for the Buffaloes, and has three interceptions on the year so far. He’s been balling out at a high level for the 4-3 Buffs and Deion Sanders.
However, the talented defensive back isn’t having nearly as much fun off the field. In fact, he’s having a terrible time with the school’s parking enforcement.
He revealed in a video shared on his social media that he’s had to pay more than $3,000 in fines for parking near the team’s facilities.
Former All-NBA guard Vince Carter appears to have found a new television home.
Carter will analyze “a small package” of Nets games for YES Network, according to a Tuesday morning report from Andrew Marchand of The New York Post.
The 46-year-old Carter, an eight-time NBA All-Star during his career, played for New Jersey from 2005-09.
Following the end of his playing career in 2020, he joined ESPN as an NBA and college basketball analyst; however, ESPN reportedly opted not to renew his contract ahead of the 2024 season.
Sports radio legend Chris “Mad Dog” Russo has always captivated his audience with his bombastic personality and grandioso proclamations.
His latest take on his Monday afternoon radio show on SiriusXM may be one of his best to date. This time, it was about the Diamondbacks, who faced a 3–2 NLCS deficit on Monday before forcing a Game 7 with a win against the Phillies later that night.
“I’ve been wrong on Arizona from day one,” Russo said on SiriusXM radio on Monday. “I would not be stunned if they won tonight [Game 6], I would be floored.
Game 7 of the ALCS on Monday night in Houston was a snoozer, especially for Astros fans. The Rangers got out to an immediate 3–0 lead in the first inning and never looked back, cruising to an 11–4 victory to clinch their third pennant in franchise history.
The Astros kept it close for a little while, but the game started to get out of hand when Texas’s four-run fourth made it 8–2. Nathaniel Lowe’s two-run homer in the sixth really put the game out of reach, at which point many Houston fans decided they’d seen enough.
Shannon Sharpe doubled down on his controversial Brock Purdy take after the 49ers QB took a second consecutive loss Monday night against the Vikings.
Sharpe had been questioned by some earlier this season after he deemed Purdy not an elite quarterback. But less-than-stellar performances in a pair of recent losses to the Browns and now Vikings give credence to Sharpe’s stance, and the First Take co-host isn’t backing down.
“I knew what he was to begin with,” Sharpe said. “When we had this conversation three weeks ago, I was trending because I said Brock Purdy wasn’t elite.
The Philadelphia Phillies are playing their first Game 7 of their 140-year existence tonight… and tickets aren’t that expensive.
Right now, if you go to StubHub, a Standing Room Only ticket is going for anywhere from $225-$250. 400 Level seats are in that $250-$300 range as well. I expect these to be sold VERY soon so if you’re reading this and are hesitant about going to the game – listen to Gunzy and go and purchase a ticket NOW.
By comparison, a single Philadelphia Eagles Standing Room Only ticket with the Cowboys coming to town in two weekends is going for nearly $400.
Halloween ushers in the last chance teams have to add a difference-making player, but that doesn’t mean teams with designs on a Super Bowl run should wait.
