The Big Ten reportedly has taken a look at several major programs for possible expansion.
USC and UCLA will join the B1G next summer, and there’s little doubt there’s more expansion on the horizon. It’s not a matter of if more teams movie. It’s a matter of when.
The belief for months has been Oregon and Washington could be the next two up. It makes sense. The PAC-12 is in a very fragile state and Oregon and Washington are major brands. If the B1G is looking to expand and add some more west coast teams, the Ducks and Huskies are the clear choices.

When my esteemed colleague Conor Orr made 100 bold predictions for the 2023 NFL season last week, he included one of particular interest to me, Sports Illustrated’s resident Swiftie: Prediction No. 88 is that Taylor Swift will play the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show. That’s something I’ve wanted to see for years. But for the first time, it actually seems kinda, sorta plausible.
Beyond having a great quarterback, few things are more important in the modern NFL than having a shutdown corner.
Last year, the Eagles won an NFC title by having two in James Bradberry and Darius Slay. The duo is a strong reason to believe Philadelphia can get back to Super Sunday once more.
For other teams, their top-end corner will anchor a contender. Think Sauce Gardner with the Jets and the newly acquired Jalen Ramsey for the Dolphins. Good luck to the AFC East quarterbacks facing those two for a quarter of their schedules.
The Las Vegas Golden Knights took a 2-0 series lead over the Florida Panthers with a 7-2 victory at home in Monday night’s Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
It was an impressive victory in what was a very physical game between two teams that are each trying to win their first-ever title.
After the game, however, a jubilant Golden Knights fan took a major loss when he tried to get in a reporter’s live shot but was masterfully pushed aside by Samantha Rivera, who threw a strong stiff-arm, all while keeping with her report.

What does life after Tom Brady look like for the Bucs’ passing game? The GOAT may be gone, but so is the outdated, vertical-pass-happy scheme that departed with offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.
Welcome to 32 teams in 32 days. To get us through the offseason, we’ll be taking a closer look at every team in the league, in order of projected 2023 win totals. Up next: the Buccaneers.
Tom Brady isn’t walking through that door. And right now, that door may as well be a revolving one of the Buccaneers.
After three years of Brady and, in that span, two division titles and a Super Bowl victory, Tampa Bay is left to rebuild with some aging parts and no quarterback of the future. With Brady retired, the job is left to a competition between Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask.
Tour de France organizers are taking a step back in time and well outside of reality as they are reportedly implementing strong COVID protocols for next month’s race. This year’s rules and restrictions are stricter than anything the race had in place a year ago, which that alone makes no sense whatsoever.
According to a source that spoke with Reuters, riders and team staff are banned from signing any autographs, taking selfies with fans, and must eat inside their hotels throughout the 23-day race.
Jay Cutler’s journey to Vanderbilt was pretty unorthodox.
Most major high school recruits get noticed by going to camps around the country, dominating on the field during games and getting plenty of tape out there.
However, Cutler attended Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City, Indiana in the late 1990s-early 2000s. The situation was a bit different.
Coaches and players didn’t have social media, YouTube or iPhones to shoot messages back and forth. The lack of quick research options apparently led to a very funny interaction between Cutler and Vandy coaches before he committed.
Smoke continues to swirl that something is going down in Boulder with the Colorado Buffaloes.
There have been multiple reports and signs indicating Colorado might be getting ready to split from the PAC-12 and return to the Big 12. A report from over the weekend also claimed the Arizona Wildcats might come with them.
Nothing has officially happened, but the longer the PAC-12 goes without a media deal, the more likely it is the Buffaloes and other programs decide to look at other options.
Block just missed the cut. But he has more golf in store after receiving an exemption into the weekend’s RBC Canadian Open.
