ARLINGTON, Texas — The Diamondbacks have been pretty busy, what with winning the pennant and traveling here for the World Series, which begins on Friday against the Rangers, but they have had enough time to check the TV listings, and they haven’t liked what they’ve seen.

The NFL and its broadcast partners have seized on every chance to show their shameless love for Taylor Swift. But on Thursday Night Football, the T-Swift lovefest may have finally jumped the shark. 
In the first quarter of the Buffalo Bills-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game, the “NFL on Prime Video” X account posted a clip of Bills quarterback Josh Allen going to an audible. It was not the best of posts.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Thursday that the Dolphins were “planning” for cornerback Jalen Ramsey to make his season debut on Sunday against the Patriots.
It appears that status upgrade was news to the veteran cornerback.
Ramsey took to X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday to dispute Schefter’s report, expressing his surprise over the number of texts he received as a result of the update from the NFL insider.

James Harden was turned away from the Sixers’ team plane for the season opener.
James Harden wanted to be with the Philadelphia 76ers for the team’s season-opener on the road against the Milwaukee Bucks. Harden, who had been away from the team for 10 days in what the organization is calling an excused absence, made a surprise appearance at practice on Wednesday. If Harden thought he was going to be with the team in Milwaukee, he was wrong.
