Triple A pitchers can breathe a sigh of relief. Elly De La Cruz is finally going to the majors.
De La Cruz, ranked by MLB.com as the No. 4 prospect in the majors and the best in the Reds’ system, was called up by Cincinnati on Tuesday after 38 dominant games in the minors this season. Here are our favorite sports broadcasting calls since 2000.
We came across an incredible question late last week on social media, thanks to Mike Golic Jr.:

And it got us thinking.
Certainly there are some iconic moments that everyone can recall almost immediately. For example, the “Kick-Six” between Auburn and Alabama comes to mind, as does the legendary chip from Tiger Woods on the 16th hole at Augusta.

Everyone is still watching the NBA, even without a huge team.
The NBA Finals were supposed to be in shambles. Remember? Remember that? When Celtics fans insisted that this would be the death knell of the postseason because nobody would watch Miami and Denver? WRONG!
With two games in the books the 2023 NBA Finals are pulling mammoth numbers. Game 1 averaged 11.5M viewers, which grew in Game 2 to 11.9M.
There’s one month until the Midsummer Classic. Here’s our first look at who will make it to Seattle.
After the Heat tied up the NBA Finals series in Game 2 against the Nuggets, Jimmy Butler and company are right where they want to be with Games 3 and 4 in Miami. The Heat, a No. 8 seed, are in the midst of one of the most improbable runs by an NBA team in history and Butler explained that center Bam Adebayo will be the key to his team winning it all.
“Bam has been playing incredibly well this entire playoffs, for sure this series, and this one he got the toughest matchup by far on the defensive side of the ball,” Butler told reporters on Tuesday.

PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan sold out, pure and simple.
For the second consecutive year, the Lions are a trendy pick to make a leap into playoff contention. Detroit finished fourth in the league in total offense a season ago, and the NFL rewarded the Lions with a slot in its coveted season-opening Thursday night game against the Chiefs on Sept. 7.
One particularly encouraging element of Detroit’s improvement from 3-13-1 in 2021 to 9–8 in 2022 was the fact that it came with quarterback Jared Goff under center. Many surmised Goff was past his prime when the Lions acquired him in March 2021.
Here’s what we’ve got going on around the league with less than two weeks left in offseason programs …
• This quote from Trevor Lawrence caught my eye—the Jaguars’ quarterback said it in response to a question about having stability year over year for the first time in his career, which allowed him to hit the ground running this offseason.
