The collapse of the Pac-12 Conference happened several months ago, but we’re still finding out more about what went wrong.
And reporter John Canzano has some more background that helps explain just how badly the conference mishandled its television rights negotiations. Although according to Canzano’s sources, some of the blame can be placed on believing inaccurate media reports.
It’s no secret that the Pac-12 received a $30 million offer from ESPN in 2022, which the conference rapidly turned down.

While the Twins are enjoying the opportunity to play in front of their home fans at Target Field, the stadium proved to be a bit disadvantageous to hitters early on in Game 3 of the ALDS.
Although the Astros managed to tack on four runs in the first inning, Minnesota’s batters appeared to be struggling to cope with the natural shadows that appeared over the pitcher’s mound and home plate.
MLB fans brought an NBA tradition to Tuesday’s Twins–Astros ALDS game.
Basketball fans will often try to psych out players on opposing teams by shouting out the time remaining on the shot clock. In a similar fashion, opposing fans counted out the seconds it took Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo to get up his free throws in the 2021 NBA postseason.
The Minnesota crowd brought that same energy to baseball on Tuesday. Wanting to distract Houston’s pitchers during Game 3, fans began counting down the pitch clock.

Costas doesn’t think he was that much a hero, though.
“Luckily enough it worked out,” Costas said on The Show with Joel Sherman and Jon Heyman. ”I don’t know if I saved his life, but I saved him considerable discomfort, that’s for sure.

Luka Dončić already has established himself as one of the best players in the NBA at age 24. The Mavericks guard was a top-rated prospect after spending the early stages of his professional career in Europe, playing for Real Madrid from 2014-15 through the 2017-18 season.
Although nothing immediate seems to point to a likelihood of Dončić considering a move back overseas, he did address that possibility during a recent interview with Johnny Askounis of Eurohoops.com.
“I wouldn’t be where I am now if it wasn’t for Real Madrid.
After a hot start to the season, Packers quarterback Jordan Love has struggled recently, throwing five interceptions in the last two games. Green Bay is now 2-3 on the year, as it tries to navigate having a first-year starter at the helm.
No one knows what Love is going through like Aaron Rodgers, and despite Love’s struggles, Rodgers still believes in his former teammate. While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers revealed he spoke with Love after Monday’s game and explained what advice he has for him.
The Dodgers‘ pitching staff has not been at its best through the team’s first two postseason games in the NLDS against the Diamondbacks. In fact, the struggles of their starting pitchers have been historic.
Starters Clayton Kershaw and Bobby Miller had disastrous starts in Games 1 and 2, lasting a combined two innings and surrendering nine earned runs during that span. The 40.50 ERA generated by Los Angeles’s starting pitching is the worst in MLB history across the first two games of a postseason series, according to ESPN Stats and Info.
