Conrad Dobler, a former 10-year offensive lineman in the NFL, died on Monday at the age of 72. Dobler played most of his career with the then-St. Louis Cardinals, making three Pro Bowls and a second team All-Pro with the team, along with stints with the Saints and Bills.
“He was the kind of tough, physical and fierce player that you love to line up with as a teammate and hate to line up against as an opponent,” Cardinals owner Michael Bidwell said in a statement.

The Derek Carr era has officially come to an end for the Raiders after the organization released the Pro Bowl quarterback on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Carr, 31, will now be allowed to sign with a team of his choosing as soon as this week as a free agent. 
The Raiders had until Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET—the NFL’s transaction deadline—to cut Carr in order to avoid paying him $40.4 million in guarantees. The four-time Pro Bowler would’ve been entitled to the hefty sum over the next two seasons as part of a three-year, $121.

Indianapolis’ owner may have shared a bit too much about the team’s offseason plans.
Jim Irsay did not mince words when he addressed the media on Tuesday, potentially leaking the Colts’ draft plans in the process. After introducing Indianapolis’ new head coach Shane Steichen to the media, the Colts owner let slip that the team is intending to develop a young quarterback during the offseason. 
Irsay went as far as to compliment potential No. 1 pick and Alabama star Bryce Young, who could very well be one of the Colts’ targets with the No. 4 pick in the 2023 draft.
