Auburn student Craig Noyes, a writer for the university’s student-run site The Auburn Plainsman, had himself a historic Saturday courtesy of a sweepstakes game that required him to make an 94-foot-putt to win a car.
Noyes stepped up in front of a sold-out arena during a second half media timeout of Auburn’s 77–69 loss to No. 3 Alabama on Saturday afternoon and sunk an 84-foot full court-length putt to win a new car.

Late in the second half, Auburn Plainsman (the school’s student newspaper) sports writer Craig Noyes was pulled out of the stands during a media timeout. His task was simple, but not easy:
Make a full-court putt, win a brand-new Toyota from Lynch Toyota of Auburn.
Noyes lined up at one end of the court and was handed a putter. On the far baseline, a poster stood with a small cutout in the middle.
