Deion Sanders isn’t capable of turning off the recruiting switch.
The former NFL star and current head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes was in attendance Thursday night at the NFL Honors down in Arizona. He used his time on stage to draw a little attention to his program in Boulder, and jokingly threw out a quick recruiting pitch.
“I got the Bosas, the Watts, Jerry [Jones] said I could borrow The Star, Jimmy [Johnson] say he gonna help me out. I need all your cousins, your mama and then, your nephews, send them right to Colorado.

This Sunday’s Super Bowl isn’t just the biggest stage in the game for the Kansas City Chiefs, it’s also a chance for protesters who want the franchise to change its name a chance in the spotlight as well.
Rhonda LeValdo, the founder of the Kansas City-based Indigenous activist group Not In Our Honor, held a press conference on Thursday explaining that she’ll be organizing a protest outside of State Farm Stadium, host of the Super Bowl, on Sunday.
LeValdo is set to be joined by tribes in Arizona who also oppose the mascot and name in Glendale.

BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana State Capitol is fittingly just three miles from LSU.
And the politics have been seeping down Nicholson Drive to Tiger Stadium like a busted sewer pipe ever since Democrat Huey Long was basically running the LSU football team as governor from 1928-32. He kept his hand in as a United States senator, too, until his assassination in the Capitol in September of 1935.
Democrat governor John McKeithen (1964-72) had his hands in recruiting and remained heavily involved in football on the Board of Supervisors in the 1980s.

Things are not going well in the Pac-12 Conference.
USC and UCLA are on their way out after 2023, fleeing for the Big Ten.
As a result, The Pac-12 still doesn’t have a new media rights deal, increasing financial uncertainty.

Things have gotten so desperate that the conference has apparently reached out to institutions like SMU.
While there’s nothing wrong with SMU in and of itself, it doesn’t rise to the educational or athletic levels that the Pac-12 has historically demanded.

We’ve finally reached that point, folks.
The Super Bowl is finally here, and the Philadelphia Eagles will be squaring off with the Kansas City Chiefs in Arizona to join the exclusive club of teams who have raised the Lombardi Trophy.
You can make the argument that these were the two best teams all season. I mean, they were the one seeds entering the playoffs, and this is the first time that both top seeds from each conference have made the big game since 2017.

LSU head football coach Brian Kelly reportedly filed for divorce earlier this week, but all signs point to him and his wife sticking together after their kids got involved on social media.
Thursday evening WBRZ in Baton Rouge reported that Kelly had filed for divorce from his wife, Fransisca, on Monday. The report claimed that the two, who have been married for 28 years, were set to physically separate on Thursday.
WBRZ published the court filing showing that Kelly had in fact filed for divorce earlier in the week with his wife’s name listed as well.
