The two veteran players sport a similar hairstyle and are about the same height and age.
Clippers forward Nicolas Batum is likely accustomed to taking photos with fans on the street.
However, the he probably doesn’t get misidentified too often. After all, he’s a 15-year NBA veteran, having played for the Trail Blazers and Hornets prior to joining Los Angeles.
Nevertheless, Batum found himself in this situation over the weekend in New York, as the Clippers played the Knicks on Saturday and are scheduled to play the Nets on Monday night.

Who knows what we will see this time? The oddest night of Super Bowl week — and really, the NFL season — is entertainment, sure, but it is also a bit of a ruse.
The Chiefs’ coaching staff reportedly made some changes to the team hotel so the players feel more at home ahead of Super Bowl LVII.
Dallas’s efforts to surround Luka Dončić with a co-star have failed in recent years. Will the pairing with Irving pay off?
On the surface you can see it, why the Mavericks would cast their lot with Kyrie Irving, why a seemingly functional NBA franchise would tie its future to one of the NBA’s most dysfunctional top talents. The Mavs are struggling, 28–26 at the start of the first full week in February and a long way from the Western Conference finalist they were a year ago.
Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles may have trampled Daniel Jones and the New York Giants en route to their Super Bowl berth, but that doesn’t make Hurts the superior quarterback over Jones, according to Tiki Barber.
The former NFL running back sees how good Hurts has been this season, but looking into the future, Barber sees Jones taking the throne as the NFC East’s top gunslinger.
“He is going to be the best quarterback in the NFC East,” Tiki said of Jones.
Is there a better place than the Pro Bowl Games to show off some fresh ink? There is, but Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller chose to do it at the Pro Bowl Games.
Waller is clearly a fan of tattoos. So much so, that he was starting to run out of real estate for new pieces. However, he must have caught a glimpse of the side of his head in the mirror and realized he had been walking around with a blank canvas.
Well, not anymore.

The four-time Pro Bowler limped off the field following his turn on the Gridiron Gauntlet obstacle course.
The Pro Bowl Games resulted in at least one injury Sunday, with Browns defensive end Myles Garrett suffering a dislocated toe. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero was the first to report the news.
The Browns said X-rays came back negative, so it’s unknown how the injury will affect the four-time Pro Bowler’s offseason training.
Garrett’s injury occurred during the Gridiron Gauntlet obstacle course competition in Las Vegas.

Who is willing to take the leap?
After the Dallas Mavericks officially kicked off NBA Trade Deadline week with the first major deal of the “season” in Kyrie Irving, the reality of the time of year is kicking in. Despite Irving’s off the court distractions, he is more than capable of scoring the ball in bunches and alleviating the pressure on Luka Doncic, who is quite literally carrying the Mavs with a usage rate of 42.7 percent. Even for the 23-year-old that has been a professional for the better part of a decade, that work load is unsustainable.

But hey: Six games is still six games!
Though it had probably been gestating for far longer, it only took a little more than 24 hours for the first major NBA trade domino to fall, and it’s a big one: Kyrie Irving is headed to the Dallas Mavericks. Around 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, The Athletic’s Shams Charania first reported that Irving had requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets; by 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, Irving was a Maverick. And so it began.
Nevertheless, six games still unfolded as scheduled on Sunday, each one worth recapping.
