Who’s ready for some MLB spring training on MLB Network?!
Hope you don’t have YouTube TV.
The popular streaming service dropped MLB Network when the clock struck midnight Wednesday morning, just in time for pitchers and catchers to report in a few weeks. Talk about great timing!
The service sent out an email to its over 5 million paying customers Tuesday evening, saying it couldn’t come to a new agreement to keep the channel and would therefore be dropping it – including any previously-recorded programming on your DVRs – starting Wednesday.

Sydney Warner detailed her experience at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday in a TikTok video.
49ers linebacker Fred Warner’s wife, Sydney, posted a TikTok after Sunday’s NFC championship game in Philadelphia to detail the heckling she dealt with from Eagles fans.
Sydney admitted she has no intentions to ever return to Lincoln Financial Field after her experience there on Sunday.
“I’ll probably never go back to that stadium to be honest, I guess you can just call me a wimp, but I couldn’t handle the fans,” Warner said.

Two names that will be inextricably tied to Tom Brady’s legacy in the NFL are New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and team owner Robert Kraft.
Both of them have now issued statements after news that Brady had retired… again… only for good this time… probably.
“I am so proud of Tommy. He has accomplished everything there is to achieve in this game, and so much more,” Kraft said in a statement. “No player in NFL history has done it as well for as long as Tom Brady. He is the fiercest competitor I have ever known and the ultimate champion.
OK, so “can’t” is a strong word. Aaron Rodgers technically “could” retire. But he won’t. Why? If he does, he’ll be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame alongside Tom Brady.
He was never giving up $60M guaranteed regardless but there’s now a 0.0% chance Aaron Rodgers retires and plays second fiddle to the Tom Brady Hall of Fame celebration 5 years from now.

No way is Aaron Rodgers going to share that spotlight with the GOAT. Really, no one with a Hall of Fame shot should retire this offseason.
Moore and McCarthy apparently didn’t see eye to eye when it came to football philosophy.
Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones confirmed on Wednesday that coach Mike McCarthy will handle offensive play-calling duties in 2023.
The news comes after the team parted ways with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
“This is the logical step to build on it and use what we’ve established,” Jones said at Senior Bowl practices in Mobile, Ala., per Yahoo Sports. “This is a time for us to build on. That’s what this is: a building step.

Without Sue Bird or Breanna Stewart, Seattle is going to have some major voids to fill.
The Storm’s post–Sue Bird era is officially underway, with the veteran’s partner-in-crime, Breanna Stewart, announcing her exit from Seattle in a massive blow to the team.
Stewart signed a one-year supermax deal in 2022 for Bird’s swan song as Seattle bulked up for the legendary guard’s send-off season, leaving her long-term future with the franchise up in the air.
From the Buccaneers to the Raiders and Niners. Aaron Rodgers, Fox Sports and the NFL Draft. Tom Brady’s decision to retire is not a singular event. Far from it.
