Free agent veteran quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has interest from several teams, including from the Lions who have made him a “strong contract offer,” according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
If Bridgewater signs with the Lions, it would reunite him with coach Dan Campbell, who was an assistant in New Orleans when the veteran played for the Saints.
There is no indication that Bridgewater is close to signing in Detroit, as he takes time this offseason to decide where he will play next.

As the Aaron Rodgers saga continues with no end in sight, Jets general manager Joe Douglas made a definitive statement as the fan base continues to wait for a trade for the star quarterback.
“He’s gonna be here,” Douglas told fans at a WFAN event in New York.
The crowd went crazy after Douglas’s comment, but there is no indication of when that trade between the Packers and Jets may be completed with the NFL draft just weeks away.

Bad weather in Augusta is making for an interesting start to The Masters.
The Masters nearly made it through two full rounds before weather ultimately suspended play on Friday afternoon.
The leaderboard is loaded with star power. An amateur is making the biggest climb up the Augusta National leaderboard in decades, and Tiger Woods is fighting for a record-tying made cut with a few holes left. So there’s plenty to focus on even though Saturday’s conditions could get ugly.

The New York Jets are very confident Aaron Rodgers will be the team’s QB this upcoming season.
Rodgers revealed several weeks ago in mid-March that it was his intention and goal to leave the Packers to join the Jets. However, there’s been very little public movement on the issue since his interview with Pat McAfee.
OutKick’s excellent Armando Salguero wrote Friday how the realistic deadline for something to happen is April 28. While it’s not clear if that will occur or not, Jets GM Joe Douglas left little doubt for fans during a Friday night event Rodgers will join the franchise.

Rory McIlroy entered The 87th Masters Tournament with the potential of becoming the sixth player in PGA Tour history to complete the career Grand Slam with a win at Augusta National Golf Club. The stars were aligning for that to happen heading into this week but poor play and even bad weather that could have perhaps hampered the play of others ahead of him couldn’t help him.
Things were bad off the bat, err, tee for McIlroy the moment he was scheduled to tee off at Augusta.
