UConn head coach Dan Hurley’s lucky pair of underwear did more than lead his team to an NCAA Tournament title, they also raised a lot of money for a good cause.
How much money did your lucky underwear rake in for charity? I guarantee nothing, save for the occasional side-eye from your significant other when you grab the holey, hanging-by-a-thread skivvies out of the drawer for yet another day of luckless wear and tear.
As it turns out, Hurley’s favored pair of underoos weren’t some tattered pair of Hane’s he picked up in bulk at Costco. No sir. His lucky pair is a set of MeUndies.

Deion Sanders’ players are no longer numberless. Well, one of his players is no longer numberless.
As Coach Prime entered the first spring practice period at Colorado, he and his staff made a unique decision. They chose to make their team wear blank jerseys until they earn the right to sport a digit.

The Sixers have Joel Embiid.
The Bucks have Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Lakers have LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
The Clippers have … depth?
The Clippers beat the Lakers on Wednesday. Officially it was a home game for the Clippers, but the sold-out crowd at New Staples (Crypto.com Arena still sounds weird) had a decidedly Lakers vibe. Six players scored in double figures for the Clips. Eric Gordon was a point away from making it seven. Paul George (knee) and Marcus Morris (back) didn’t play. They shot 52.4% from the floor, 44.4% from three and made 85.2% of their free throws.
De’Aaron Fox didnt need to say a single word to express his emotions toward Luka Doncic in Wednesday’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Cam Newton is eyeing an NFL comeback. The 33-year-old has not played a down of professional football since 2021, but has hope for a return in 2023.
Newton, who was drafted No. 1 overall in the 2011 NFL Draft, was the MVP in 2015 and reached three Pro Bowls after winning two national championship and the Heisman Trophy at Auburn. Although his career is fairly well-decorated, it never quite reached the summit.
The Panthers lost back-to-back Divisional Round appearances in 2013 and 2014 before making a run to the Super Bowl a year later during Newton’s best season.

Longtime Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware will be enshrined in Canton, Ohio in the Pro Football Hall of Fame later this summer, and he wants Dallas owner Jerry Jones to be his presenter.
Ware broke the news to the Cowboys owner in a moment that was captured on the team’s social media accounts.
“You were the voice that welcomed me into the Hall of Fame and I want for you, I want that voice to keep going and you be my presenter this year for the Hall of Fame,” Ware said to Jones.
“I just can’t tell you what an honor it is,” Jones replied.
