In the aftermath of LSU’s national championship victory over Iowa on Sunday, first lady Jill Biden drew plenty of criticism for her suggestion that the Hawkeyes should also receive an invite to the White House despite losing the game. Tigers star Angel Reese made her feelings known on Twitter earlier in the week, and on Tuesday, she expanded on her view during a lengthy interview with Brandon Marshall and Ashley Nicole Moss on the I Am Athlete podcast.
Reese told Marshall and Moss that she did not accept Biden’s apology after Biden walked back her comments on Tuesday.

LSU star Angel Reese opened up more about her thoughts regarding first lady Jill Biden originally sending an invite to both the Tigers and runners-up Iowa after Sunday’s national title game.
Even though the first lady has since clarified her comments and only extended an invite to the national champions, Reese admitted on the I AM ATHLETE podcast this week that she doesn’t “accept” the apology.
Prior to receiving the White House invitation, Reese revealed that LSU almost had a different interaction with the first lady.

Wide receivers went early and often in the first round of the last two NFL drafts.
In 2022, six receivers were selected in the first 32 picks — one shy of the record set in 2004 — two of which were taken in the top 10. Five wideouts came off the board on Day 1 of the 2021 draft, including three in the top 10 and two among the top-six picks.
The early indication is that the first receiver drafted in 2023 might be in the green room a bit longer than in previous drafts.

When you watch a Major League Baseball game, it’s not uncommon to see umpires miss close calls. The strike zone gets a little fuzzy, and pitches that look like balls can be ruled strikes or vice versa.
Not seen often, however, is a horribly missed call like the one on Wednesday afternoon in the Mets vs. Brewers game. 
New York catcher Omar Narvaez slapped a hit into right field that was fair by a few feet. The first base umpire, however, somehow missed the call and ruled it a foul ball.
