The Mets’ Pete Alonso will likely never wear a mustache again in his life.
Alonso, who previously shaved his mustache mid-game back in 2019, decided to go clean shaven prior to Wednesday’s tilt with Milwaukee.
The star slugger entered Wednesday’s game against the Brewers mired in a 0-for-11 slump that witnessed his batting average dip to a paltry .136. On top of it, his team lost its first two games against Milwaukee by a combined score of 19–0.
After some terrible at-bats over the last several games, Alonso decided to ditch the facial hair—this time prior to first pitch.

Gronkowski joined Kay Adams of the Up & Adams show to discuss the speculation around the third-year Patriots quarterback.
“I think that was fake news,” Gronkowski said. “There’s just too much turnover this year. I mean [Belichick] already got a new offensive coordinator that he brought into place.

Witnessing a hole-in-one during the Masters Par 3 contest isn’t rare, in fact, it’s essentially a yearly occurrence. What is rare is making back-to-back aces, but lightning struck twice for Seamus Power on Wednesday afternoon.
While the first couple of hours of the Masters Par 3 contest didn’t produce a hole-in-one, Power got the party started on the 8th hole.
The Irishman hit a wedge just past the flagstick allowing the backstop to do the work for him as his ball perfectly trickled into the hole.
