We’ve reached the two (minute) week NASCAR warning, folks. Two weeks? TWO WEEKS.
Everybody plan accordingly.
Get those Christmas lights down (yep, mine are still up, too), mow the lawn, tend to the garden, fix the leak under the sink and take your partner out on the town (we don’t judge here), because the 2023 NASCAR season unofficially goes green in two damn weeks.
I say unofficially, of course, because the real season starts Feb. 19 with the Daytona 500. Duh. But, that being said, we will have cars on the track, and drivers in seats at the LA Coliseum in less than 14 days.

If you’re trying to find Braves pitcher Spencer Strider in your program next season, get the number 65 out of your brain.
Strider will be No. 99 this season and it’s a nod to one of baseball’s most legendary fictional pitchers.
That’s right. According to Atlanta Journal-Constitution Braves writer Justin Toscano, Strider will honor Charlie Sheen’s character Rick Vaughn from the 1989 film Major League.
Spencer Strider now wears No. 99. His favorite movie is Major League and likes Rick Vaughn. But Strider also would use No. 99 for his players on MLB The Show.
The Cincinnati Bengals once again stamped their ticket to the AFC Championship game after defeating Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills 27-10. Craig Carton lays out what this loss says about the Bills, and whether they’ve been overrated all season.
The star wide receiver was visibly frustrated with his quarterback as the Bills struggled offensively on Sunday.
It was a frustrating Sunday afternoon for the Bills offense, as the unit was stymied in a 27–10 loss to the Bengals that ended Buffalo’s season.
The Bills were bludgeoned up front and had no answer in the running game or the passing game for a Bengals defense that swarmed the Buffalo offense all afternoon.
It got so bad that Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs was seen yelling at quarterback Josh Allen on the sideline as the offense struggled to cobble together drives.
Craig Carton had high hopes for Daniel Jones and the New York Giants as they prepared to take on the recently returned Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles. Those hopes were quickly dashed as the Eagles trounced the Giants, securing their spot in the NFC Championship game with a sizable 38-7 win. Craig decides whether the Giants still have their quarterback in Daniel Jones, and whether this loss diminished the rest of the season for New York.
SANTA CLARA – Let’s get to the bottom of the issue.
Jalen Hurts is a load and so are Philadelphia Eagles fans. San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw has witnessed it.
“Oh yeah, he don’t try to slide, he’s trying to run you over,” Kinlaw said as his mind wandered from the joy of San Francisco’s NFC Divisional Round win over Dallas to the task ahead in the conference championship game. “He’s definitely physical …. It’s funny, it’s kind of like their fans.
A photojournalist posted a video of the incident from his perspective.
Shortly after a photo of Mike McCarthy stiff-arming a cameraman went viral Sunday night, the Cowboys coach reached out to the photojournalist to apologize.
Noah Bullard of KXAS-TV, the NBC affiliate in Dallas-Fort Worth, posted a video of the incident from his perspective, explaining how he didn’t consider it a “push.”
“Thank you to everyone that has reached out regarding the Mike McCarthy incident,” Bullard said. “I can see how the photo appeared like he pushed me but it was more of a hand to the lens.

It was an ugly sequence after an ugly loss by the Cowboys.
Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy lost his composure after his team’s playoff loss to the 49ers in the divisional round Sunday night when he was seen stiff-arming a cameraman. In a photo caught by Josie Lepe of the Associated Press, McCarthy can be plainly seen putting his hand on the camera’s lens and pushing it away from him.
It wasn’t a good look for the Dallas coach after his team’s 19–12 loss to San Francisco—the same team that eliminated them in the same round last season.
