Philadelphia’s coach offered up a lofty comparison between his starting quarterback and one of basketball’s all-time greats.
Following the Eagles’ 38–7 rout of the Giants in Saturday night’s NFC divisional round playoff game, Philadelphia coach Nick Sirianni made a lofty comparison between Eagles starting quarterback Jalen Hurts and one of the NBA’s all-time greats: Michael Jordan.
“I know this is high praise, but to have him out there is like having–I shouldn’t even go there–it’s like having Michael Jordan out there,” Sirianni said, per ESPN’s Tim McManus.

Deion Sanders made it clear his players better steer clear of bringing alcohol or marijuana anywhere near the team.
Sanders is tasked with turning the Colorado football program around, and that means instilling discipline and order within the program.
That involves drawing a line in the sand when it comes to substances, even those that are legal.

Two-time WNBA All-Star Dearica Hamby was traded from Las Vegas to Los Angeles on Saturday. She alleges that the Aces, her former team, treated her in an “unprofessional and unethical way” in regard to her pregnancy.
Hamby, a crucial component to the team’s 2022 WNBA Championship, was traded to the Sparks along with a 2024 first-round draft pick. In exchange, the Aces received a 2024 second-round pick and the negotiating rights to forward Amanda Zahui B.
Hamby had spent her entire career with the Las Vegas/San Antonio organization.
Ed Reed is out as the head football coach at Bethune-Cookman University after just 25 days, but his now-former players are hoping to have him reinstated. A group of Wildcats filed a petition not long after the school released its official statement on its decision.
Reed, who accepted the head coaching job at B-CU on a verbal agreement, did not sign a formal contract. Neither did the university.
Thus, rather than “firing” him, per se, B-CU chose not to honor its deal and did not ratify his contract. In a fiery rant, Reed made it abundantly clear that he did not resign.
The star quarterback is currently in his third season in the league.
As Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow aims for another shot at the Super Bowl, he apparently is set to earn a huge raise this offseason. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Bengals are expected to offer Burrow a huge contract extension in the offseason.
Cincinnati still has Burrow under team control for the next two years, assuming they pick up his fifth-year option as expected, but the team already considers him to be its franchise quarterback. As a result, the organization already is planning to extend his pact.

After initially staying in and finishing the drive, Mahomes was sent to the locker room for X-rays by his head coach. As expected, there was no fracture but also no panic by the Chiefs who were about to lead to a 98 yard touchdown drive with back up Chad Henne.
Arch Manning wasted no time before putting his arm to work at Texas.
The next great Manning quarterback enrolled early at Texas, and while it’s unlikely he plays much with Quinn Ewers still on the roster, hype for Cooper Manning’s son is off the charts.

Before even throwing a single pass in college, he’s already been deemed by many as the man tasked with restoring Texas to greatness. Well, he was slinging it over the weekend.

The NFL’s priorities make it more difficult on Dallas in the divisional round
The NFL is a part of the entertainment industry. While many may focus on the entertainment aspect of that statement, the business of the NFL has always been the primary focus. Not parity, not fairness, and not “doing what is right.”
There is a ton of proof that the NFL has put the bottom line over almost anything else over and over again.
Jaden Rashada is reportedly kicking the tires on potentially joining TCU.
Rashada has been at the center of a massive NIL controversy after Florida couldn’t or wouldn’t make payments on his $13 million deal. The Gators cut the five star in 247Sports’s rankings loose, and he’s now on the hunt for a new team.
Well, the Horned Frogs might be a potential landing spot, and Pete Thamel reported late Saturday afternoon that Rashada, who was also once committed to Miami, will visit Fort Worth next weekend. He’s currently visiting Arizona State this weekend.
The Baltimore Ravens reportedly offered Lamar Jackson a surprisingly low amount of guaranteed money.
Jackson and the Ravens are currently engulfed in chaos as everyone waits to see if a long term deal can be hammered out. John Harbaugh recently guaranteed the dual-threat QB would return, but it remains to be seen whether or not that’s a bluff.
However, a recent report from Ryan Clark won’t give fans much hope. The former NFL player and current ESPN personality reported Sunday the Ravens opening offer included only $113 million in guaranteed money.
