FDU plays in the Northeast Conference. However, the Knights did not win the NEC tournament, instead losing to Merrimack by one point in the title game.

As Anderson’s players did the griddy dance in celebration of knocking off one of four top seeds in the men’s NCAA tournament this year, TNT’s Jamie Erdahl recalled Anderson’s previous statement this week, believing that his team could knock off Purdue.

Farleigh is known more for Google searches trying to find its location than its basketball program. It’s in Hackensack, New Jersey by the way.
The Knights came into the tournament just 20-15 overall and 10-6 in the Northeast conference.
Purdue, meanwhile, won the highly contested Big Ten, finishing 29-5 to secure the #1 seed.
All to go out in the first round.
Fairleigh Dickinson’s stunning win over No. 1 seed Purdue eliminated the lone remaining perfect bracket. The madness wins yet again.
